With the 24th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders selected Alabama RB Josh Jacobs
Jacobs scored 11 TDs and averaged 5.3 yards per carry in 2018. He is a fine blend of power and deft moves, and he can also catch passes out of the backfield. He is also coming fresh out of college, having not been overworked as he enters the NFL, so that makes him even more of an appealing dynasty pick. Jacobs has excellent vision and nifty footwork and change of direction moves, and he works very effectively inside. But he does run high and could expose himself to some big hits and potential injuries.
Fantasy Impact of Josh Jacobs
Jacobs also pass blocks well, and that increases his fantasy appeal as an RB who can stay on the field for more downs. He fills the obvious need for Oakland and completes a strong supporting cast for Derek Carr. He has instant high-end potential as a fantasy RB2. I would recommend him as the first selection in 2019 rookie drafts. He is versatile, dynamic and will be the TD finisher for an improved offense.
