A couple of injuries will affect the Week 14 tight end rankings. Darren Waller missed Week 13 with a knee injury and is considered day-to-day. If he returns this week, he’ll slot back in as a TE1. If not, Foster Moreau will get the start in a plus matchup against the Chiefs.
Also, it’s unclear whether Ricky Seals-Jones or John Bates will get the start for the Football Team after Logan Thomas suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 13. Ricky Seals-Jones is the preferred option from a fantasy perspective and would have streaming appeal moving forward. Be sure to monitor both injury situations throughout the week. UPDATE: Seals-Jones has been cleared to start in Week 14.

Week 14 Tight End Notes
Week 14 Byes: IND, MIA, NE, PHI
- Dawson Knox had a game to forget in Week 13, catching two of six targets for 14 yards. However, he gets volume and has a knack for finding the end zone – his seven touchdowns are tied for most amongst tight ends. The Bills play the Buccaneers this week in what could be a shootout. Play Knox with confidence this week.
- T.J. Hockenson looks like he’s back on the touchdown train, finding the end zone in back-to-back weeks. However, he gets a tough matchup this week against the Broncos, who have only given up one touchdown to tight ends the entire season. Hockenson is still a top-eight tight end this week, just temper your expectations. UPDATE: Hockenson is listed as doubtful for Week 14 with a hand injury.
- Tyler Conklin could get more targets in Week 14 with Adam Thielen likely out with a high ankle sprain. Conklin is the third receiving option on the Vikings and has an 81.4 percent snap share on the season. He saw a season-high nine targets last week, and it’s possible he steps up as the second pass-catching option in Thursday night’s game. Conklin is a borderline TE1 for me this week.
- Austin Hooper could be worth a flier this week against the Ravens, who allow the fourth-most receiving yards and fantasy points per game to tight ends. While the Browns typically play all three of their tight ends, they could be without David Njoku this week, who landed on the COVID-19 list on Tuesday. If Njoku misses Week 14, Hooper could see a boost in targets in a plus matchup.
