Week 18 is here, wow I have to get used to saying that, and this means this will be the final RB rankings list of the season. The final week of the season is always bittersweet for fantasy players, but hey at least we got an extra week this season.
However, this is by far the hardest week when it comes to setting a lineup. You may not be able to play your top players as some of them will be resting for the playoffs. Lucky for you, I have that all covered in this week’s list. Let’s get you into the championship or a win in a head-to-head matchup if you play NFL DFS.
Just as a reminder this list is based on half PPR scoring.
Week 18 Running Back Notes:
Joe Mixon took a lot of us by surprise this year as he lived up to his expectations with no injuries. This week I have him as my RB4 against the Browns. The Bengals have a chance to score a first-round bye if they win this week and the Chiefs lose to the Broncos. Mixon will need to have another big game. The Browns were exposed last week to Najee Harris who went for 188 rushing yards. The Browns are ending the season terribly and the Bengals are on a hot streak.
Next, I have Josh Jacobs as my RB10 for the week. Jacobs isn’t the best catching running back, but he will get you touchdowns. The Raiders have the Chargers this week, who have the second-worst fantasy rush defense. Jacobs did get a little banged up last week against the Colts, but he still powered through. He will have a ton of opportunities in the red zone this week in a must-win game for the Raiders.
Lastly, I have Damien Harris as my RB15 this week. The Patriots have the Dolphins this week, who are middle of the road when it comes to stopping the run. The Patriots still have a chance to win their division and move up a seed with a win this week and a Bills loss. Mac Jones has been great for the Patriots this season, but it is the run game who is putting the points up. It is tough to tell who will get the ball in the backfield in New England. But, even if Harris only gets nine carries he is still putting up double-digit points. He is a sure thing this week.
