I know, I know. Plugging kickers and defenses into your fantasy lineups is one of the worst parts of fantasy football. Especially when you get beat because of it. But you get what you get, and you don’t get upset. So, let’s take a look at three potential defenses that could score you some points. There’s no reason you can’t be the one who wins their matchup because of their defense, right? These Week 5 D/ST Streamers might help you do just that.
Yeah, we know football is in full swing. That doesn’t mean you can’t jump into fantasy hoops? From joining a public league with our Fantasy Basketball Commissioner to trying one of our Classic Draft Contests, there are plenty of ways to play Fantasy Basketball on Fantrax!

Arizona Cardinals Defense
This is a bit of a sneaky pick. The 49ers have an incredible array of weapons to choose from, so it’s not always the smartest to target their opposing defense. However, this week the 49ers are in a little bit of a troubling situation in which they’ll either need to start their rookie QB (Trey Lance), who couldn’t beat out Jimmy Garrapolo, or they start a hobbled Jimmy G. According to Kyle Shanahan Jimmy G is, “…in a lot of pain and still sore. If {the calf} is getting better, he has a chance to play.” So you’re either feeding a rookie QB to JJ Watt, Chandler Jones, and Tyran Matheiu, or a less than 100% Jimmy G. I’ll take my chances.
Atlanta Falcons Defense
They’re playing the Jets. The Jets are coming off of their first win of the year, but Zach Wilson is still going through his growing pains. I’m not sure he’s at the point in his career when he’s able to stack back to back solid performances together. Further, the Falcons offense looked like it was starting to regain form against Washington last week, so it looks like the Jets may be in for a game script that involves a lot of passing. This could be an interception/sack party, and you’re all invited!
Denver Broncos Defense
Ben Roethlisberger is cooked. Done. Finished! Teddy Bridgewater should be back for this game, but even if he isn’t the Broncos run game can control the clock in this one. Any game script that calls for Big Ben to throw the ball 40 times, is one that I’d like to own the opposing defense. There’s a non-zero chance that he gets benched and we get to feed on Dwayne Haskins or Mason Rudolph. Enjoy!
