2023-2024 NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds for Week 5

A month into the NBA season and it has been such fun. With that being said, smart use of the waiver wire is what will keep you ahead of your league-mates. The players many think will have no impact can provide the spark your team has been searching for. The following players are rostered in less than 75% of fantasy basketball leagues and must be added this upcoming week.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds

Caris LeVert, SG/SF – Cleveland Cavaliers (72% rostered)

Caris LeVert is the third-best scorer on the Cavaliers and a tremendous spark for them. He is currently averaging 33.08 ppg. LeVert has also seen over 30 minutes in every game besides two. One game was 28 minutes and he missed the other.

It seems as if Darius Garland and Donavan Mitchell take turns missing time and this is where LeVert comes in. LeVert can score and he can do it fairly well since his Brooklyn Nets days. In the past five games, LeVert has averaged 19.8 ppg, 4.4 rebounds per game, and 3.2 assists per game. Being rostered at 72% seems too low for LeVert. Put in a waiver wire claim for LeVert as he is my favorite add for Week 5.

Jalen Suggs, PG/SG – Orlando Magic (56% rostered)

Jalen Suggs is the future Point Guard for the Orlando Magic. First of all, Suggs last scored less than 20 fantasy points on the Magic’s opening night. Since then, Suggs has had eight games of 25 or more fantasy points. Suggs has three games with 30 or more fantasy points with one 40-point fantasy night.

Suggs fills the stat sheet up. In just 17 minutes of game time in his last outing, he had 26 fantasy points with 18 points, three rebounds, and a steal along with an assist. Suggs has the attention of the Magic coaching staff over other guards such as Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, SG/SF/PF – Atlanta Hawks (68% rostered)

Bogdan Bogdanovic is the Atlanta Hawks’ best player off of the bench. Currently averaging 27 fantasy ppg, Bogdanovic is playing his best basketball this season, right now. In the past seven days, Bogdanovic has averaged 19.3 ppg, 2.7 reb, and 3 assists per game. He is averaging three more fantasy ppg than last season and he is having a marvelous stretch. Playing alongside Point Guards such as Trae Young and Dejounte Murray makes Bogdanovic a fabulous pick-up who will have tons of open looks thanks to his teammates.
