Nine of the top-1o players in the dynasty basketball power forward rankings are 23 years old or younger. There has been an abundance of young power forwards that have taken their games to the next level this season. It feels extremely odd to rank top veterans like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis outside of the top-1o, but I feel all of the players ahead of them are still getting better, which is scary, given where their fantasy games are at now. Let’s take a look at some of the risers and fallers since the last update.
Dynasty Risers
Franz Wagner, Orlando Magic
Wagner has not only turned into one of the best dynasty power forwards, but he is one of the best overall dynasty players in the game. He is one of only five players averaging at least 24 points, five rebounds, five assists, two three-pointers and 1.5 steals per game. The other four players accomplishing this spectacular feat are Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and De’Aaron Fox. He ranks in the top-20 in scoring and top-15 in steals. Wagner also produces solid field goal and free throw percentages, virtually giving him no holes in his fantasy game. Unfortunately he recently suffered a torn oblique, which will sideline him for the next several weeks, but it doesn’t affect his dynasty value. He has moved up six spots in the dynasty basketball power forward rankings.
Josh Hart, New York Knicks
Hart is enjoying the best year of his career in his eighth NBA season. He is averaging 14.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 three-pointers. He’s also putting up elite percentages, shooting .594 from the field and .821 from the free throw line. He’s also averaging only 1.8 turnovers, which is the cherry on top of his well-rounded fantasy game. Hart has recorded nine double-doubles and has scored 10 or more points in all but one game this season. He climbs to 32nd in the dynasty basketball power forward rankings after not cracking the top-50 in the last update.
Dynasty Fallers
Kyle Kuzma, Washington Wizards
Kuzma is arguably putting up his worst numbers from a fantasy standpoint since the 2020-21 season. He is averaging the second fewest minutes of his career. The additions of Jonas Valanciunas, Alex Sarr and Kyshawn George and the emergence of Bilal Coulibaly have all played a large part in Kuzma seeing less time on the floor. Also, further complicating things, Kuzma has missed the last eight games with a rib injury and Justin Champagnie has played extremely well in his absence. If that wasn’t enough, Saddiq Bey could be returning at some point in the second half of the season. Kuzma has fallen 12 spots in this update of the dynasty basketball power forward rankings.
Paul George, Philadelphia 76ers
George has been a household name in fantasy for over a decade. He signed a lucrative contract with Philadelphia in the off-season, but the change of scenery has not worked out well for him. It’s quite puzzling, because Joel Embiid has missed all but six games this season, leaving Tyrese Maxey and George to do the heavy lifting on offense. However, George has averaged just 15.9 points, which is the third lowest scoring output of his career. The only two seasons where he’s averaged less points were his first two years in the league. He has dropped eight spots in the dynasty basketball power forward rankings.
