The 2024-25 dynasty basketball shooting guard rankings have finally arrived. There should be several impactful rookie shooting guards this season, with two likely standing out from the rest. A handful of players saw their stock rise this offseason, while several others saw their dynasty value take a hit. Let’s take a look at some of the dynasty risers and fallers heading into this season.
Dynasty Risers
Brandin Podziemski, Golden State Warriors
Podziemski was drafted 19th overall by the Golden State Warriors last year. He averaged 9.2 points. 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.2 three-pointers and 0.8 steals. He made 28 starts in his rookie year but mainly played in a reserve role for the Warriors. However, he will step into a much larger role this season with the departure of Klay Thompson. Podziemski will likely be named the starting shooting guard for Golden State. He has an extremely well-rounded fantasy game and his numbers should improve across the board in his sophomore season. At only 21 years old, he is quickly rising up the dynasty basketball shooting guard rankings.
Derrick White, Boston Celtics
White was one of the biggest surprises of the 2023-24 season. He set career highs in nearly every fantasy category, averaging 15.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 three-pointers, 1.0 steal,s and 1.2 blocks per game. He also shot 46.1 percent from the field and 90.1 percent from the free-throw line. White also averaged only 1.5 turnovers a game for the cherry on top of his fantasy game. White is also very durable, having played over 70 games each of the last three seasons. You simply can’t go wrong with him as he does not have any flaws in his game.
Dynasty Fallers
Mikal Bridges, New York Knicks
Bridges was dealt to the New York Knicks for a slew of draft picks this offseason. He goes from being one of the main focal points on offense with the Nets to possibly being the third scoring option on the Knicks. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle will likely shoulder most of the scoring load. Bridges will also have to compete for minutes and touches with OG Anuboby, Donte DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart. He will likely see his fantasy stats take a dip this season, which is why he has fallen 10 spots in the dynasty basketball shooting guard rankings.
Shaedon Sharpe, Portland Trail Blazers
Sharpe played in just 32 games last season due to an abdominal injury. He started in 25 of those contests, but that likely won’t be the case this year. Portland signed Deni Avdija in the offseason, likely relegating Sharpe to the bench, where he will have to compete for minutes with Toumani Camara, Jabari Walker, Dalano Banton, Kris Murray, and Matisse Thybulle. Sharpe averaged over 33 minutes a game last year, but probably won’t come close to that kind of action this year. The culmination of all this has him tumbling down 16 spots in the dynasty basketball shooting guard rankings.
