Below, seven of our top analysts hashed out our 2024 rankings. While there was quite a bit of agreement at the top, variance increased and pointed out quite a few pivotal players at the position. Draft day decisions on these players may decide many fantasy baseball leagues in 2024.

2024 Consensus Shortstop Rankings
These third base rankings below are based on 5×5 rotisserie scoring. We used 20 games played in 2023 as the threshold but were liberal if we thought a player would spend time at the position in 2024. We also included Mookie Betts who played 16 games at shortstop in 2023. Just be aware that he may not be eligible in your league. If he is, you’ll have the freedom to use him at second or short.
