As we approach the halfway point of the fantasy basketball season, there have definitively been some big changes in the dynasty point guard rankings. Many point guards have seen their dynasty value skyrocket, while others have seen their value plummet. Overall, point guard is one of the deepest positions with many young stars on the rise.
Dynasty Point Guard Risers
Several key risers this year include De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Maxey, Anfernee Simons and Derrick White. All four players have elevated their games to another level this season. Maxey and Fox have rapidly ascended to be two of the top dynasty point guards in fantasy basketball.
Another player to keep an eye on is Immanuel Quickley, who was recently traded to Toronto and has become their new starting point guard. It looks like he could have a bigger role with the Raptors than he did with the Knicks.
Coby White is also taking huge strides this season and is starting to cement himself as the starting point guard for the Chicago Bulls. If he keeps up this hot stretch he is currently on, he will gradually move up this list.
Marcus Smart gets a slight boost in the rankings due to the news of Ja Morant missing the rest of the season.
Dynasty Point Guard Fallers
On the other hand, Jordan Poole, Jrue Holiday, James Harden and Kyrie Irving are some of the players who have seen their dynasty stock dip this year. Their numbers have drastically fallen off across the board from previous seasons and each player has slid down the dynasty point guard ranks as a result.
Ja Morant dipped a couple of spots with the news that he will be missing the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery after tearing his labrum.
Who Could Rise Up The Dynasty Ranks
Jaden Ivey possesses immense upside, but he is regressing in his sophomore season. It is a little concerning to see him not taking small steps forward at this point in his career, however, it is not time to panic, he could still rocket up the dynasty point guard ranks if he starts to put things together with a solid stretch of games.
Keyonte George is another player that could find himself moving up these ranks over the course of the season. The rookie point guard is starting to carve out a meaningful role with the Utah Jazz.
