Fantasy football season is just around the corner, with only 32 days left until NFL action begins. Whether you’re preparing for your draft or looking to enhance your roster through offseason moves, August is bound to be a busy month. The process of compiling quarterback rankings accurately for fantasy football can be particularly challenging. Their crucial role on the field often complicates the task of assessing their true fantasy value.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2024 season.

Josh Allen: Josh Allen finished as the QB1 in most fantasy scoring systems last year, and he is my pick to do it again this year. He is a true dual-threat quarterback, having been responsible for 4,830 yards and 44 touchdowns between his passing and rushing last season. The Bills’ offense figures to be smoother and more consistent under new OC Joe Brady, so Allen is positioned to have another fantastic fantasy year.

Jalen Hurts: Jalen Hurts finished as the QB2 last year, and similarly to Allen, is also a dual threat. Hurts’ fantasy value is similar to Allen’s, however, I just figure him to be slightly less consistent and impactful. The Eagles’ offense sometimes leans heavier on their run game, and that may even be increased due to the addition of Saquon Barkley.

Anthony Richardson: Anthony Richardson missed most of last season after enduring a season-ending injury after only four games. However, the former fourth overall draft pick is yet another dual-threat quarterback, and figures to lead a dynamic Colts offense in 2024.

Jordan Love: I am lower on Jordan Love than most, especially when it comes to fantasy football. He does put up pretty good offensive numbers, however, he has struggled with turnover problems in his young career. Last season, he finished with 11 interceptions and five fumbles. He ranked 21st amongst starting quarterbacks in interception percentage, with 2.1%. There is upside, however, there are many safer options to choose from at the quarterback position in fantasy.

Bryce Young: I think Bryce Young will improve as a player in 2024, however, due to the increased quarterback talent and skill league-wide, he will finish in a similar fantasy position as last season. There is however plenty of upside to drafting him as your backup QB, as the Panthers offense has more weapons and firepower than in 2023.
