Running back sleepers and streamers in Week 10 hit at a 50% rate. This week, all four will hit, and we all will be clinching fantasy football playoff spots. Chase Brown was my favorite running back from the four I picked. Despite a tough Baltimore Ravens defense, Brown finished as the RB4 overall. Brown, along with Tyrone Tracy Jr, will be league winners when the season ends.
In Week 11, we have running backs like James Conner, Tyrone Tracy Jr, and Chuba Hubbard on a bye. Let’s find some guys that can replace them as one-week rentals.
Week 11 Running Back Sleepers
Alexander Mattison @ Miami Dolphins
Alexander Mattison had looked the part of a top-24 running back for a few weeks. That was determined to be a major fluke. Mattison had consecutive top-20 finishes, but in the past two weeks, he has been the RB33 and RB49. In Week 11, he has a shot to have another top-20 week as the Las Vegas Raiders face off against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins, pending Monday Night Football, are allowing the seventh most fantasy ppg to the position. They have also allowed the third most rushing touchdowns on the season.
With Davante Adams no longer there, someone besides Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers has to catch passes. I believe Alexander Mattison will do right from his two lackluster performances with a top-20 finish in Week 11.
Austin Ekeler @ Philadelphia Eagles
Austin Ekeler was doing his best to be the old Austin Ekeler in Week 10. Ekeler filled in as the Washington Commanders RB1 as Brian Robinson Jr dealt with an injury. Ekeler had only 44 yards but found the endzone twice. It has now been two consecutive weeks where Ekeler found the end zone and scored double-digit points.
This Thursday night football match-up is a division game with the Commanders facing the Philadelphia Eagles for first place in the NFC East. The Eagles are one of the best teams in stopping the run and the second-fewest fantasy ppg to running backs. Despite that, division games are different, just like Chase Brown facing the Ravens in Week 10. I expect Ekeler to have his third consecutive double-digit scoring output in Week 11 and a great sleeper for running back sleepers and streamers.
Week 11 Running Back Streamers
Nick Chubb @ New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are allowing the fourth most fantasy ppg to running backs. In Week 10, Bijan Robinson found the end zone twice and finished as the RB1 overall. Nick Chubb tore nearly everything in his knee last season, but he is still Nick Chubb. With a gunslinger like Jameis Winston and the Saints trading away Marshon Lattimore, this Saints defense is weak.
I expect the Browns, even with their bad record, be all over the Saints in Week 11. Chubb’s first start in Week 7 saw 10.2 fantasy points. Week 8 and 9 combined saw 9.7 fantasy points. Chubb is still getting his feet warm, and it will come together in Week 11. Nick Chubb gets his first top-15 finish of the season when the Browns face off against the Saints. Nick Chubb is my favorite running back in sleepers and streamers this week.
Najee Harris vs. Baltimore Ravens
My logic with Chase Brown last week is the same as I have with Najee Harris in Week 11. The game of the week will either be the Thursday night game I highlighted above or the Baltimore Ravens vs the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North. Harris, in his past four games, has seen a snap share percentage over 50% just ONCE. Still, he has been the RB10, RB16, RB16, and RB18 in those games, with a touchdown in three of those four games.
This divisional game will see a new battle between the teams, as the Ravens’ pass defense is one of the weakest it has been in years. With that being said, the running game will open up as Russell Wilson carves up the pass defense. A scary match-up strays people away, but we risk it for the biscuit over here. Fire up Harris in your lineups for Week 11.
