Week 10 was a sloppy week of football, no question about it. Now we move forward, and Week 11 is officially here, and the stakes are getting higher as the playoffs draw closer. Between injuries, bye weeks, and trades, there are questions across all lineups and I’m here to help! Stuck between two players and don’t know who to start in Week 10? In these weekly articles, I will review and help you decide which WRs and TEs to start and sit every week based on matchups, weather conditions, injuries, and more. You’ll never see studs like Justin Jefferson or CeeDee Lamb on this list, but this is more advice to help you decide between those two players that will help you set and win your weekly lineup. Week 11 Start and Sit
Start ‘Em Wide Receivers
Cedric Tillman vs. New Orleans Saints
Cedric Tillman is perhaps the waiver wire pickup of the year and has shined since the departure of Amari Cooper. In his three games since, Tillman has averaged 22.1 points per game and quickly become a plug-and-play WR this season. Jameis Winston has targeted Tillman 32 times in those three games and is looking like the WR1 in that offense. He comes in with a favorable Week 11 matchup vs. a Saints defense that allows the 10th-most points to WRs, but recently lost Marshon Lattimore. In what could become a high-scoring game, Tillman becomes a solid WR2 this week.
Jauan Jennings vs. Seattle Seahawks
When opportunity has knocked, Jauan Jennings has answered well. With Brandon Aiyuk out on IR for the year with that torn ACL, Jennings immediately becomes a solid fantasy option. In his first game back from his own injury, Jennings was the lead WR in SF and led the team in targets, receptions, and yards in Week 10. The 49ers also got Christian McCaffrey back, so this offense seems to be trending in the right direction. In a divisional matchup vs. a team that has been exposed via the passing game, Jennings should be in for another solid PPR outing. Fire him up!
Ladd McConkey vs. Cincinnati Bengals
While there have been some inconsistencies, the rookie has flashed potential in this Chargers offense. With the Chargers offense leaning on Justin Herbert a bit more over the last few weeks, McConkey should continue to benefit. Prior to his 2 target outing last week, McConkey had seen 6 or more targets in the last 6 weeks, and a 78% snap count share. This week, the Chargers face a Bengals defense that has allowed an 80+ yard receiver in every game dating back to week 6. I expect the Chargers to lean on Herbert a bit more in what could end up being a high-scoring game, McConkey is a solid WR3 this week.
Sit ‘Em Wide Receivers
DJ Moore vs. Green Bay Packers
Disappointing. Frustrating. Underwhelming. Those are just some ways to describe this Chicago offense in 2024. Fresh off his big off-season contract and a year removed from being the WR6, DJ Moore has been a big letdown for fantasy owners. He comes into week 11 as the WR32, and has had ONE top 12 finish, and ONE top 24 finish. The Bears just fired their Offensive Coordinator Shane Waldron, so things could look a bit different for them but I’m not risking the start with the playoffs on the line. Sit DJ until he proves otherwise.
Brian Thomas Jr. vs. Detroit Lions
In another world where T-Law starts at QB, Brian Thomas Jr is actually a START this week in a favorable matchup vs. the Lions, but in this world, its Mac Jones under center. In Jones’s first start with Jacksonville, he put up an atrocious 14/22 for 114 yards and 2 INTs. Brian Thomas saw a season-low 3 targets, and was non-existent in this offense. BTJ should be non-existent in your fantasy lineup this week too, unfortunately.
Jordan Addison vs. Tennessee Titans
Another rollercoaster of fantasy production, Addison has failed to follow up on his successful rookie campaign. After a 4-point performance last week in what should have been a fun game for him vs. Jacksonville, this week he faces a stout Tennessee Titans defense that has given up the 4th-fewest points to opposing WRs. With playoffs looming, I’d sit Jordan Addison this week, there’s other WRs that give you a better chance to win.
Start ‘Em Tight Ends
TJ Hockenson vs. Tennessee Titans
I just got done talking about how stingy this Titans defense is, but since returning from his ACL injury, Hockenson has been extremely efficient. In only his second game back, he tied a team-high in targets (9), and had 8 receptions for 72 yards. What is perhaps the most encouraging step for Hockenson is that we saw less than 50% of the snaps, but managed to perform at a high level. He had a dominant season prior to his ACL injury and he seems to have not lost a step. Fire him up as a must-start TE moving forward.
Sam LaPorta vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Are we seeing the Sam LaPorta resurgence? Let’s hope so! LaPorta has put up over 15 fantasy points in 2 of the last 3 weeks, and gets a favorable matchup vs. the Detroit Lions in week 11. This Lions team leans heavily on their 1-2 RB punch, but LaPorta has proven to be an asset to this team. With 6+ targets in 2 of those 3 weeks, it seems like his utilization is on the rise. Start him with confidence this week.
Tucker Kraft vs. Chicago Bears
Tucker Kraft has been a reliable TE for fantasy in 2024. He comes into this Week 11 matchup going vs. a divisional opponent that has allowed the 4th-most points to opposing TEs since Week 6. In a game that feels like a must-win for the Bears to keep their playoff hopes alive, this game could end up being a shootout. Kraft for the dub this week.
Sit ‘Em Tight Ends
Jake Ferguson vs. Houston Texans
A once reliable TE, Ferguson’s value takes a massive hit with the injury to Dak Prescott. In the last 5 weeks, Ferguson has only had a double-digit performance and now faces a stingy Houston Texans defense. Whether it’s Cooper Rush or Trey Lance at the helm for Dallas, Ferguson is a sit this week and potentially beyond.
Cole Kmet vs. Green Bay Packers
Well, look at that, another Bear. Since his 24-point performance in week 6, Kmet has a COMBINED 7.7 points, and seems, like most of this Chicago offense, to be irrelevant for fantasy. Until Chicago figures this out, it’s best to sit Kmet.
Tyler Conklin vs. Indianapolis Colts
Since the arrival of Davante Adams, Conklin has not been able to get anything going. In the last 2 weeks, Conklin has a combined 4 targets, 2 receptions, and 5 yards. Yeah, that alone should scare you off. Conklin is droppable in most formats.
