Now’s the time to find players on the waiver wire with favorable matchups who can give you that extra edge when it matters most.
Whether you need a reliable flex, added depth, or a potential breakout star, I’ve pinpointed the must-stash players you’ll want to grab before Sunday. December is where championships are made—let’s keep that playoff push alive!
Week 13 Weekend Waiver Wire
Quarterbacks
Will Levis, Tennessee Titans
From weeks 14 through 17, he has the easiest four-game stretch of any quarterback. The Jaguars twice and the Bengals and Colts once each. If you are needy this is a guy that might be producing at a level higher than expected in that time frame. He has either multiple touchdowns or over 300 total yards in each of the past three games.
Other quarterbacks to consider:
- Derek Carr – New Orleans Saints, Nothing sexy about Carr, just high-floor production with 2 TDs in each of the past two games.
- Jameis Winston – Cleveland Browns, Winston Has the Chiefs in Week 15 and the Bengals in Week 16. He will bring the boom.
Quarterback Notes: Caleb Williams has already played but if available in your league he should probably be a target.
Running Backs
Braelon Allen, New York Jets
Allen is the clear-cut backup to Breece Hall. Hall has been missing some practice with a knee issue this past week. If Hall was to miss any time at all Allen has the talent to become a very viable play weekly.
Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills
Davis is the clear-cut backup to James Cook. He has proven in his limited touches this season to be explosive. I like him a lot if he starts to get touches.
Running Back Notes: Nothing exciting here at all, just a bunch of handcuffs.
Wide Receivers
Marques Valdes-Scantling, New Orleans Saints
Coming off the bye, Marquez Valdes-Scantling has stepped into the Rashid Shaheed role in the Saints offense—and he’s thriving. Derek Carr loves airing it out, and MVS has become his go-to deep threat. While he’s seen just 7 targets over the past two games, he’s made them count, converting them into 5 catches for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns. Efficient and explosive, MVS is making the most of his opportunities!
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans
Nick scored a touchdown in six of the last seven games. He has a 20% target share in the last two games. Levis looks for him in the red zone and he is producing.
Other wide receivers to consider:
- David Moore – Carolina Panthers, In Week 12 his stat line was 10 targets, 6 receptions, 81 yards, and a TD.
- Devaughn Vele – Denver Broncos, 18 targets over the past three games. He is second in WR snaps and targets on the Broncos
Wide Receiver Notes: None of these names are super exciting but if you need a WR3/4 or flex play I would play any of these four here.
Tight Ends
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
He is still rostered relatively low. He had 9 targets in his last game. Henry has no touchdowns yet this season but has had a solid floor in production. The touchdowns should come.
Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders
Ertz has been seeing a large share of targets over the past three games. He has 23 targets over that span. He has scored touchdowns in each of the last two games.
Tight End Notes: Theo Johnson, Luke Schoonmaker, and Noah Gray have all played prior to this being published. All are guys you should look at for Tuesday.
