2024 Fantasy Football: Week 4 Running Back Sleepers & Streamers

Running back sleepers and streamers were down the middle in Week 3. The streamers did not stream whatsoever. If you roster D’Andre Swift and Zamir White, you can leave them on your bench and move on with the fantasy season. Both players had almost near-perfect matchups to produce high fantasy results and combined for 9.6 fantasy points.

Regarding the sleepers, Bucky Irving came through with an RB17 finish in Week 3. Austin Ekeler plays tonight, but I see a double-digit game vs the Cincinnati Bengals. Now, here are the sleepers and streamers for Week 4.

Week 4 Running Back Sleepers and Streamers

Sleepers

Braelon Allen vs Denver Broncos

Braelon Allen would be an RB1 if most teams drafted him. The sad part is that he got drafted to a team with Breece Hall already there. Allen finished as an RB1 in. Week 2 and had a top 24 finish in Week 3. The Jets could very well have the best 1/2 punch in the backfield in the entire NFL.

Allen gets a Denver Broncos team in Week 4 that has given up the 13th most ppg to running backs through three weeks. My prediction is the Jets defense will be all over Bo Nix and the Broncos’ offense. With that being said, Hall and Allen will be very busy this upcoming week. I think you can start Allen with confidence. His skill is almost there with Hall, and he makes magic happen once the ball touches his hands.

Chuba Hubbard vs Cincinnati Bengals

The Carolina Panthers have life with Andy Dalton playing quarterback. They handled the Las Vegas Raiders with ease and Chuba Hubbard had 169 total yards, a touchdown, and the overall RB4 finish this past week. The Bengals are an average team when defending running backs. You might have better options than Hubbard, but there is still one more week before Jonathan Brooks can return. Hubbard has one more strong start in his outcome. Fire him up with confidence in Week 4.

Streamers

Najee Harris @ Indianapolis Colts

The Los Angeles Chargers have allowed the 12th fewest fantasy ppg to running backs, but that did not stop Najee Harris. Harris finished as the RB14 as the Steelers improved to 3-0. Harris made this article in Week 2 and did not live up to it with an RB31 finish. In Week 4, he gets to get forgiven as he faces one of the worst teams when it comes to defending the running back position.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense is allowing 8.6 ppg through three weeks and has the best defense in the NFL. Next up is the Indianapolis Colts and the struggling Anthony Richardson. Jaylen Warren is set to get an MRI on his knee. Najee Harris was seen wearing a sling for his arm/shoulder, but I am more concerned about Warren than Harris. My BOLD take for Week 4 is if Harris plays, he will be a top-eight running back as the Steelers will run away from the Colts in this game and feed Harris.

Najee Harris is my favorite running back for Week 4’s sleepers and streamers.

Tony Pollard @ Miami Dolphins

The Green Bay Packers were all over the Tennessee Titans in Week 3 therefore, Tony Pollard was never able to go “crazy.” In Week 4, he gets a softer match-up against a Miami Dolphins team that has no identity, lost their quarterback for a month, and has no motion on offense.

The Seattle Seahawks handled the Dolphins with no issues in Week 3, and I think the Titans will get their first in 2024 on the road in Miami, led by Tony Pollard. The Dolphins have given up the fifth most fantasy ppg to running backs, and with no motion on offense, their defense spends too much time on the field, and they have not led ONCE this season.

This feels like the Dolphins will be that team that was viewed as a “contender” but disappointed in a major way. Start Pollard with confidence and sprinkle some money on the Titans’ money line.
