3 Late-Round Quarterbacks to Target in 2024 Fantasy Football Drafts

Midway through the summer and only one thought is on my mind. Fantasy Football, and it is a lot closer than you all think. Once the SFB (Scott Fish Bowl) drafts start happening, you know the fantasy season is around the corner. As time has passed, fantasy football players have their differences, BUT one thing is for certain. WE ALL LOVE RUSHING QUARTERBACKS. Unfortunately, you have to draft one of these rushing Quarterbacks fairly early if you hope to get them. Josh Allen is the first Quarterback off draft boards in the fourth round. That said, I have three late-round quarterbacks you can wait on while you fill out the rest of your roster with fabulous weapons and needed depth.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2024 season.

3 Late-Round Quarterbacks to Draft in 2024 Fantasy Football

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions, QB15, ADP 126.5

At this rate, I have become a Jared Goff stan account. With numerous tweets, write-ups, and videos, Jared Goff is one of my favorite values for the 2024 fantasy football season. Goff was drafted as the QB17 in 2023 and ended up finishing as the QB11 on a ppg basis. Now, in 2024, Goff is being drafted as the QB15!

Goff’s rushing upside is like the hair on my head, it is not there.

Nonetheless, Goff is a part of one of the best offenses in the NFL. Despite performing well last season, Goff still is not getting the respect he deserves. Also, to make things more enticing, Goff plays 12 games inside this year. Goff posted his most passing yards and touchdowns since 2018 with a career-high in completion percentage. With the seventh easiest schedule for Quarterbacks, do not let Goff go undrafted or land on your league-mate’s team.

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers, QB17, ADP 135.5

Risks are needed in life. If failure comes from it, use it as a learning experience. Justin Herbert’s worst fantasy finish from a ppg perspective was QB15 in 2022. Last year was a “down” year for Herbert and he finished as the QB8 in ppg. Now, with a run-first coach in Jim Harbaugh there, Herbert has taken a hit in redraft and dynasty leagues. Therefore, he must not be good anymore, correct?

Herbert falling in Fantasy Football has never made sense to me. He has thrown for the most passing yards in any Quarterback’s first four seasons and second most touchdowns. Yes, Harbaugh will establish the run in a big way, but Harbaugh also knew who the Quarterback was going into the job. Finishing as a QB1 in three of his first four seasons, Herbert is a screaming value in Fantasy Football. Regardless, if the Chargers run more than previous years, Herbert is too talented not to be used.

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers, QB25, ADP 189.5

All in all, this is one of “MY GUYS” for the 2024 season. First, Bryce Young had a terrible system and a very poor offensive line was at least partly to blame in his rookie season. The only possible way to go for the Panthers and Young is UP.

Expectations should be high as the former Heisman winner tries to turn his young career around. Second, Young gets a head coach in Dave Canales who is a quarterback’s best friend. Canales was the Quarterbacks coach in Seattle when Geno Smith finished as a QB1 in ppg. Then. Dave Canales was the offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay when Baker Mayfield finished as the QB13 in ppg and had his best season since his rookie year. Now, it is Bryce Young’s turn to turn everything around and he is FREE. Young is going as the QB25 in redraft leagues with an ADP of 189.5 which is the 16th round of fantasy drafts. It is highly likely that Young goes undrafted.

In turn, I would fill out my roster and take a Quarterback in rounds 10-12 as insurance. Then, draft Bryce Young with your last pick and enjoy the high ROI he will give you. Be also to draft his WR1 Diontae Johnson as well. They will be the best value in all of Fantasy Football in 2024.
