We’re back! After going two for three last night (maybe 3 for 3 if Luka doesn’t get hurt), we’re back in the winning column. That’s why you need to throw your bad days in the toilet. Heck, even throw your good days in the toilet. Start fresh everyday and keep with your process. With prop bets, we don’t need to wait for season-long storylines to play out. Every day is a new day. Fantrax wants to help you win a bit of money, so we will be giving you NBA Player Prop Bets every week. We’ll shy away from keying in on any particular sportsbook, as we know odds vary, and so do props. We’ll focus on our projections, and allow you to find your best odds. Let’s get into today’s prop bets.
NBA Player Prop Bets for January 27
Jrue Holiday, OVER 30 Points + Rebounds + Assists:
I know this total seems low for a star like Jrue. Especially, now that the Bucks are back to their winning ways, and have won four of their last five games. In their last two games however, Holiday has only had 27 and 28 PRA. One of these games was a blowout, and one of these games was a win vs. Denver without Nikola Jokic. The Pacers will likely be without their best player in Tyrese Haliburton tonight, so I think I’ll be sticking to the lower PRA total than the high 40+PRA total. You can go about this a couple of ways. You can take the low 30PRA total and attach it to a parlay, since you can be confident that this one will hit, or you can find a normal PRA line for Holiday (40-45PRA) and take the UNDER. Your call, but be conservative with this one.
Ja Morant OVER 28 Points:
With Desmond Bane back looking like the player we saw last year, we’ve seen less hero performances from Ja Morant than we did to start the season. He’s scored at least 22 in the last five games, but 29 only twice in that same span. After losing three straight and facing Anthony Edwards & the Wolves, I think we see a takeover game from Ja tonight. The Wolves are 18th in defense and play at the 7th fastest pace. A middling defense is no match for Ja, and more possessions in a fast paced game give us a better chance to hit this over. Make sure you find as close to + juice as possible for this one. I feel confident we hit it, but that doesn’t mean it’s likely. A bet is only as good as your odds.
Steph Curry UNDER 41 Points + Rebounds + Assists:
The Raptors take on the Warriors tonight, and the Warriors have won two of their last five. While there’s no defense that can stop Steph Curry, there is one inhibitor: a slow offense. The Raptors play at one of the slowest paces in the league, ranking at 26th. That’s going to be quite an adjustment for the fastest team in the league in the Warriors and it will mean dramatically less possessions than they are use to. On top of that, Steph has been under 41 PRA in his last three games, despite playing at least 35 minutes in all three. Expect the slow pace to take a toll on the Warriors offense. I like the UNDER in this one.
