With that great weekend of football in the books, it’s time we turn the focus back to basketball and get our week started with some wins. With prop bets, we don’t need to wait for season-long storylines to play out. Every day is a new day. Fantrax wants to help you win a bit of money, so we will be giving you NBA Player Prop Bets every week. We’ll shy away from keying in on any particular sportsbook, as we know odds vary, and so do props. We’ll focus on our projections, and allow you to find your best odds. Let’s get into today’s prop bets.
NBA Player Prop Bets for January 30
Kyrie Irving OVER 29 Points:
With the way Kyrie has been playing, this should be a “no sweat” bet. Irving has scored 30 points or more in each of his last six games. He always has a little extra juice in his tank to play his old teammate (who very publicly advocated for him to be on the Lakers). Kyrie Irving without KD taking usage, playing vs. LeBron, playing vs. a team with the 2nd highest pace in the league, with the 19th ranked defense in the league, should make for a great performance for Kyrie. I’d put this bet as a leg of a parlay because it won’t be the best odds.
Anthony Edwards OVER 38 Points + Rebounds + Assists:
With the trade deadline looming, D’Angelo Russell’s name has been thrown around a lot. And even KAT’s name has been thrown around (mainly by me though). That said, Anthony Edwards is the one star that the Wolves will be building around for years to come. In his last five games, he’s had 39+ PRA, including a game vs. the Kings. The team that they’ll be playing tonight. As good as the Kings are, they play terrible defense (25th in the league) and they play at the 7th fastest pace in the league. That means a lot of extra possessions with good looks for Ant. He put up 34/10/6 in their last matchup. I don’t think it’s crazy to expect some regression tonight. 38+PRA is should be an easy cash.
Kyle Kuzma OVER 35 Points + Rebounds + Assists:
Don’t look now, but the Wizards have won five straight games. Not just five straight games, but five straight games without Kristaps Porzingis. They’ll be without him tonight, as well, which means more usage for Brad Beal and Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma plays 36+ minutes per night, while Brad Beal is still ramping up to full strength after his layoff from a hamstring injury. The Wiz play the Spurs tonight who are dead last in defense in the league and play at a top-10 pace in the league. The Spurs aren’t trying to win, but rather develop their young talent. I don’t expect a blowout for the Wizards as the Spurs have been playing teams tough, so expect a big game from Kuzma. He’s had 35+ PRA in four of his last five games, so you can bet this line with confidence. Don’t be afraid to throw all three of these bets in a parlay…
