We went 2-1 last time out to start the playoffs, let’s dive back in with some more winners. The Bulls take on the Heat on the road, and the Thunder take on the Wolves on the road. Both teams have a chance to become the 8th seed in their respective conference. To be honest, I didn’t think the Thunder, or Heat would be in this game, but here we are! Let’s take advantage. With prop bets, we don’t need to wait for season-long storylines to play out. Every day is a new day. Fantrax wants to help you win a bit of money, so we will be giving you NBA Player Prop Bets every week. We’ll shy away from keying in on any particular sportsbook, as we know odds vary, and so do props. We’ll focus on our projections, and allow you to find your best odds. Let’s get into today’s prop bets.
NBA Player Prop Bets for April 14
Bam Adebayo OVER 30 Points + Rebounds + Assists:
In what, to me, was a shocking loss to the Hawks, I realized something. While Bam Adebayo is an all-time playoff fade, it’s largely driven around the narrative that he doesn’t perform up to his abilities as a potential superstar and future leader of the Heat franchise (particularly in the playoffs). While that is/has been true, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t get respectable numbers. He just doesn’t take over like Jimmy tends to do. That said, in is last two games vs. the Bulls, Bam has had 34 PRA and 45 PRA. I expect Bam to improve upon this in the playoffs with their season on the line.
Nikola Vucevic OVER 30 Points + Rebounds + Assists:
This is less about Vuc and more about what I just saw from the Heat in their latest play-in game. The Heat got outrebounded 63-39 vs. the Hawks. That’s truly absurd. Especially for a defense as stout as the Heat. But alas, they were out-hustled. While it’s fair to assume that will be fixed this game, I’m not going to fight the facts. Vucevic is a better rebounder than Capela and Collins in my eyes, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him eclipse 15+ boards against Bam. With that, it’s easy to expect him to get double figures in points and a few assists to top it all off. He should be able to clear this line easily. I’d consider throwing it in a parlay.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 30 Points:
Josh Giddey and Lu Dort showed up big to help out SGA in their win vs. the Pelicans, and I expect to see scoring support for one of Giddey/Dort wane in their matchup vs the Wolves. With that, SGA’s output will increase or stay the same. SGA has averaged 31 PPG for the season, so it’s not like we’re expecting him to go above and beyond what he does. He’s turned into an All-Star caliber player, and All-Stars show up in the biggest games. It helps they’re playing the Wolves who will be without their best wing defender, and play with the 10th fastest pace in the league. Expect SGA to do what he does.
