2022 NFL Week 7 Bold Predictions for Fantasy Football
Hayden Hurst, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Bold Prediction: 7 receptions, 73 yards, 1 touchdown

Colin’s Breakdown: Sunday is a revenge game of sorts for Hayden Hurst. His last two seasons prior to this one were spent with the Atlanta Falcons. They declined his fifth-year option on his rookie deal, thus sending him to free agency where he ultimately signed with the Bengals.
In six games with Cincinnati, Hurst has seven or more targets in half of them. Even with the many mouths to feed on the Bengals’ offense, Hurst is finding a way to produce. In Week 7, that should continue with an excellent matchup when the Falcons come to town.

Teams are targeting tight ends at the second-highest rate against the Falcons. As a result, Atlanta is allowing the second-most receptions and third-most yards to the position. He is the streaming option that I love the most in Week 7 for those in need. My bold prediction is that he is a key contributor in a Bengals win this Sunday.
Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Bold Prediction: 8 receptions, 87 yards, 1 touchdown

Lauren’s Breakdown: Alec Pierce gets a nice matchup this week against the Tennessee Titans and their soft pass defense. The talented rookie has quickly solidified himself within the Colts’ offense. In the last three weeks, he’s seen at least six targets and finished with at least 12 PPR points per game. When Pierce faced the Titans in Week 4, he caught four-of-six targets for 80 yards. For my bold prediction, I think he’ll have an even better day at the office the second time around.
The Titans have been a defense to attack through the air. They’re allowing the second-most fantasy points to wideouts, as well as the eighth-most passing yards to the position. Matt Ryan has been straight-up slinging the ball this season and has the second-most pass attempts in the league. He also had no problem carving up the Titans’ defense in Week 4, throwing for 356 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Fantasy goodness should be coming Pierce’s way in Week 7.
Josh Jacobs, RB, Las Vegas Raiders
Bold Prediction: 150 total yards, 2 touchdowns

Bradlee’s Breakdown: Is it a bold prediction to say that the RB7 on the season is going to have a great week? It feels like it is when the RB7 is Josh Jacobs. Jacobs is a talented running back out of Alabama, who is great, but inconsistent and injury-prone. There’s a reason why the Raiders didn’t pick up his option on the last year of his rookie contract. There’s a reason they drafted his replacement in the 2022 Draft. No one saw this coming.
Regardless, in his past two games, he’s had 28 and 21 carries, for 144 and 154 yards respectively, and three total touchdowns. He’s been a factor through the air for PPR leagues, as well, as he’s had at least five targets and 30 yards in each of the past 3three games. He is a workhorse. This week, the Raiders are coming off of their bye week and are 7.0-point favorites versus the Houston Texans. The game script will favor the run game, and even if it didn’t, Josh Jacobs is hitting on all cylinders. Take the overs on the man!
Rondale Moore, WR, Arizona Cardinals
Bold Prediction: 12 rushes, 110 yards, 1 touchdown

Michael’s Breakdown: In his last two games Rondale Moore has had eight and 10 targets. In those two games, he has a combined 13 receptions for 117 yards. DeAndre Hopkins is back this week, but Marquise Brown is simultaneously heading to the Injured Reserve for at least four games.
Hopkins will need some time to get back into rhythm. This Arizona offense does not look the same as it was last year. But, lucky for Moore, he has been able to produce.
This week the Cardinals have the Saints who are giving up the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. On average they are giving up 33 points. This is an easy start for Moore. He could easily be a WR2 for the rest of the season. James Conner looks like he will miss this week as well. So, the focus will be on the passing game.
Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Bold Prediction: 8 receptions, 105 yards, 2 touchdowns

Kai’s Breakdown: Last week’s uptick in snaps played is a big deal for Michael Gallup. After returning in Week 4, from a 2021 season-ending ACL tear, Gallup’s comeback is seemingly complete. His 51 snaps last weekend were just 11 total behind Ceedee Lamb. Additionally, Gallup’s 12 targets in the last two weeks are more than double Noah Browns’ whose been playing in his place during the early part of the season.
What’s even better for Gallup is the return of quarterback, Dak Prescott, from a thumb injury. In eight fully healthy games last season, Gallup managed just over six targets per game. Especially with the departure of Amari Cooper and his 15% target share from last season, Gallup should compete with Lamb to be Dak’s top target for the remainder of this season.
My bold prediction is that Gallup crushes Week 7 by scoring not one, but two touchdowns. Dallas is hosting the Detroit Lions who are allowing the most points (34.0) to opponents. With Dak back, a home matchup, and Gallup at full strength, I think he emerges as a trustworthy fantasy starter from here on out.
Hunter Renfrow, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Bold Prediction: 9 receptions, 99 yards, 1 touchdown

Reese’s Breakdown: After a breakout season in which he scored a career-high nine touchdowns, the start of the 2022 season has been injury plagued for Hunter Renfrow. To make matters worse, he has been hilariously out-snapped by Mack Hollins, who has vice grips on the two-wide sets that the Raiders run. This leaves Renfrow in a reduced third-down role.
Last season having Renfrow in on third down usually meant he was going to be targeted. But with Davante Adams on the squad now, Carr has other options he trusts in critical situations. Coming off of a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, I believe that the Raiders get back to the personnel that made them playoff contenders last year. That means more Renfrow on the field. Renfrow should have one more chance to exploit Waller’s absence and put up some good fantasy numbers. I’m making the bold prediction that he scores more this week than he has all season.
