The NBA took yesterday off in an effort to boost voting participation and awareness, but tonight we’ve got our league back! Whatever your desired election outcome, celebrate or wash it away with some NBA player props tonight. Fantrax wants to help you win a bit of money, so we will be giving you NBA Player Prop Bets every week. We’ll shy away from keying in on any particular sportsbook, as we know odds vary, and so do props. We’ll focus on our projections, and allow you to find your best odds. Let’s get into our props.
NBA Player Props for November 9
Jayson Tatum, OVER 35 Points+Rebounds+Assists:
Jayson Tatum is an elite player. Tonight he gets a matchup against a team that ranks last in defensive rating, while also being top 15 in the league in pace. That means the Celtics are going to get every opportunity to run the Pistons out of the gym. Tatum averages 30/7/4 on the season thus far, expecting him to hit his averages against the worst defensive team in the league isn’t far-fetched. I’d be willing to take this bet all the way up to OVER 40 P+R+A.
Ja Morant, OVER 25 Points:
The Memphis Grizzlies take on the San Antonio Spurs tonight. The Grizz are off to a great start this season at 7-3. Although their defense is lacking, they boast the 7th best offensive rating in the NBA. In large part due to Ja Morant and Desmond Bane solidifying themselves as a top 10 backcourt in the NBA. In a matchup vs. the Spurs’ 28th ranked defense and 3rd fastest pace, Ja Morant should shine. I expect a lot of fastbreaks and transition buckets in this affair. The only reason I’m shying away from the points+rebounds+assists bets, which tend to get better odds, is because Desmond Bane has the tendency to get hot and eat usage. Morant let’s him shine when that happens. Whether Bane gets hot or not, Morant can certainly hit 25+ point on this defense.
Giannis Antetokoumpo Under 50 Points+Rebounds+Assists:
I know Nikola Jokic has won the past two MVPs, but it’s hard to make the argument that Giannis isn’t the single best player in the league right now. He’s truly unstoppable. You just have to hope he misses. The league’s lone undefeated team takes on the 4-6 Thunder, who rank 24th in offense and 19th in overall net rating. They are no match for a healthy Milwaukee team. Actually, the Bucks aren’t even healthy. They have Giannis, Holiday, Portis, and Lopez, and that’s been enough. Giannis averages 32/12/5 on the year. While that’s in play for him to get to, I think there’s significant blowout risk with this game, which give Giannis less minutes than he normally plays. I’ll take the under.
