2022 NFL Week 10 Bold Predictions for Fantasy Football
Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bold Prediction: 8 rushes, 35 yards; 6 receptions, 60 yards
15.5 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Colin McTamany, @Colin_McT on Twitter
Colin’s Breakdown: This may be the first bold prediction of mine where I’m not expecting a touchdown. For the record, I think White is capable of finding the end zone overseas in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. The point of my prediction this week, though, is to emphasize his expanding role within the Buccaneers offense.
In Week 9, Leonard Fournette was reportedly frustrated with his lack of playing time. On Tampa’s final drive of the first half, White was in for 10 plays and totaled 18 rushing yards when he had the ball. Fournette had 19 rushing yards throughout the entire game.
My bold prediction of 14 touches for White in Week 10 would be a career-high. The Seahawks are allowing the most receiving yards to running backs this season. As you can see, I expect White to have most of his success as a pass-catcher. After this game, the Bucs head into their bye week. Fournette just isn’t as effective this season as in years past. I think White has a good chance to prove in Week 10 that he deserves more playing time moving forward.
Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bold Prediction: 7 receptions, 75 yards, 1 touchdown
20.5 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Lauren Auerbach, @lkauerbach on Twitter
Lauren’s Breakdown: I’m going with another Buccaneers rookie for my Week 10 bold prediction. Fresh off of a game-winning touchdown catch, and his best fantasy performance yet, I think Cade Otton will keep things rolling this week. Otton is the go-to guy at tight end playing over 80% of the offensive snaps over the last three weeks in the absence of Cameron Brate.
With an increase in playing time, Otton has at least five targets in each of the last three games as well. Even if Brate is back this week, it will be hard to keep Otton on the sideline. Again, given the trust Tom Brady has to throw him the game-winning touchdown last week, I can’t imagine he doesn’t continue to see the field.
I think Cade Otton is worth starting in Week 10. He gets a mouthwatering matchup with a Seattle Seahawks defense that allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. My stat line of seven receptions for 75 yards would both be career-highs for Otton. Given the matchup and larger role as of late, I think he can finish inside the top-five at the position this week. He will also be a big reason why Tom Brady is a top-10 quarterback in Week 10.
Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers
Bold Prediction: 6 receptions, 80 yards, 1 touchdown
20.0 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Bradlee Kilgore, @SirBradleeK on Twitter
Bradlee’s Breakdown: Aaron Rodgers had the worst game of his career last week vs. the lowly Detroi Lions. I think it’s a safer bet that he will bounce back with a good game in Week 10 than further disappoint. Rodgers is the back-to-back NFL MVP. I refuse to believe that he’s fallen off of the cliff and is washed. I don’t care how mediocre his wide receiver corps is.
Speaking of which, Romeo Doubs will be out for a while with an ankle sprain. Sammy Watkins is not a fantasy weapon. The Green Bay front office was trying to trade for Darren Waller because Robert Tonyan hasn’t been cutting it either. Lazard has been the top receiver, but they drafted Watson to develop into that role.
Despite getting knocked out of the game last week, Watson is going to be as healthy as he’s been in quite some time this week. The Packers are 5.0-point underdogs vs. the Dallas Cowboys this week, so expect a pass-heavy game script. My bold prediction is that Watson will be good for 10 targets, 80+ total yards, and a score.
Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, Miami Dolphins
Bold Prediction: 10 rushes, 88 total yards, 1 touchdown
14.8+ fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Michael Quintero, @WeekendMike on Twitter
Michael’s Breakdown: Just when you thought Jeff Wilson Jr. was done, he came back alive in Miami. The trade to the Dolphins made his fantasy stock jump. Raheem Mostert looks as if he is touchdown or die, but Wilson doesn’t need touchdowns to be productive.
In his first game with the Dolphins, Wilson scored 16.2 PPR fantasy points. This week he gets the Browns who are the fourth-worst fantasy defense against the run. The Dolphins should be blowing teams out, but they’ve got in the rhythm of getting into shootouts. I expect that to happen again and Wilson to get a lot of opportunities. My bold prediction is another double-digit fantasy performance for Jeff Wilson Jr. in Week 10.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Cleveland Browns
Bold Prediction: 6 receptions, 105 yards, 1 touchdown
22.5 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Reese Jones, @PotPharma on Twitter
Reese’s Breakdown: Donovan Peoples-Jones and the Browns are fresh off a bye after clobbering the Cincinnati Bengals on Primetime television the week prior. In Week 10, they get the high-octane Miami Dolphins team (that felt weird to type). Miami is no doubt going to score points against this Cleveland team. Tyreek Hill is seemingly good for 100 yards and a score each game, while Waddle has been doing the same. The Dolphins even recently acquired Jeff Wilson from the 49ers, who settled right in with a touchdown last week. This team is dangerous. It would not surprise me if the Browns are forced to abandon Nick Chubb and the run game early in this one.
If the Browns indeed are forced to air the ball out then DPJ obviously stands to benefit. Peoples-Jones is the bonafide, uncontested WR2 in the Browns’ offense. When Njoku is healthy, Peoples-Jones slips down to the third pass-catching option. Regardless of the health of Njoku, though, Peoples-Jones is on the field a ton. He played 93% and 96% of snaps in Week 7 and Week 8. He was also perfect in both of those games catching all 10 of his combined targets. Once again, no tuddies for the big guy, but he has been productive otherwise. DPJ now has at least 70 yards in four of his last five games. Donovan has the potential to outscore all of my Week 10 sleepers if he is able to have another solid yard yardage day and finally reach pay dirt.
