Bold Predictions for Week 11 Fantasy Football

Our Fantrax team is coming off of our best week of the season with making weekly bold predictions. In Week 10, our team was on top of Rachaad White (RB25), Jeff Wilson Jr. (RB7) Donovan Peoples-Jones (WR22), and most importantly, Christian Watson (WR3). Putting our picks into your starting lineups paid off in a big way and hopefully earned you a weekly win. Now, we’ll look to carry our momentum into our Week 11 bold predictions to help propel you along toward the fantasy playoffs.

You’re going to start your studs of course week in and week out. It’s undeniable, though, that you will run into a few lineup decisions that could make or break your week this season. Our team at Fantrax is here to help. These weekly bold predictions are meant to tip the scale in favor of the players below. We believe they have a chance to help win you the week and put up big numbers. The bold predictions won’t always have a 100% success rate but do provide a well-educated guess for the ceiling each player can achieve each week.

2022 NFL Week 11 Bold Predictions for Fantasy Football

David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears

Bold Prediction:  18 rushes, 70 yards, 2 touchdowns; 3 receptions, 25 yards

24.5 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Colin McTamany, @Colin_McT on Twitter

Colin’s BreakdownIt’s that time of the season when David Montgomery starts having a major impact in fantasy football. In 2020, Montgomery was the overall RB1 in PPR formats from Weeks 12 through 17 averaging 25.7 points per game. Last season, he was the overall RB1 in PPR formats from Weeks 12 through 17, averaging 18.1 points per game. It’s a week earlier than history would suggest, but my bold prediction for Week 11 is that Montgomery becomes a must-start from this point forward.

Montgomery has the most carries for the Bears this season (115) even having missed one game early on. However, he is third in rushing yards (434) behind Justin Fields (749) and Khalil Herbert (643). Fields’ 321 rushing yards in the last two games, on 28 carries, accounts for 43% of his rushing production this season. While I think he continues to produce, his incredible efficiency should regress. Herbert is set to miss Chicago’s next four games while on Injured Reserve for a hip issue. He leaves behind an average of 10 carries per game.

With that said, Montgomery should see closer to 18 carries per game as opposed to his 12 to 13 average from his first nine games. His first game with an expanded role is in Atlanta against the Falcons. In the last four weeks, the lead back of the team facing the Falcons finished inside the top-11 at the position; twice in the top-five. Montgomery will have every chance to do so himself. He is a must-start and a top-50 player until further notice.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants

Bold Prediction: 7 receptions, 100 yards, 1 touchdown

23.0 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Lauren Auerbach, @lkauerbach on Twitter

Lauren’s Breakdown: Darius Slayton has been coming on strong for the Giants.  He’s either seen six targets or scored a touchdown in each of his last three games. His 21.2% target share over that period also leads the team.  Slayton doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon. I expect him to have a big Week 11 against the Detroit Lions.

The Lions have been a friendly unit to wideouts this season.  They’ve allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to the position, as well as the seventh-most receiving yards.  While the Giants are a run-heavy team, Slayton is their go-to guy when they air it out.  He’s seen a steady increase in both playing time and receiving yards over his last three games played, and he’s scored the 15th-most fantasy points among wideouts over that span.  I like that trend to continue this week.  For my bold prediction, I think Slayton breaks the century mark in receiving yards and scores his third touchdown in four weeks.

Rasheed Shaheed, WR, New Orleans Saints

Bold Prediction:  5 receptions, 75 yards, 1 touchdown

18.5 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Bradlee Kilgore, @SirBradleeK on Twitter

Bradlee’s Breakdown: Following Jameis Winston’s interview about his disappointment of not having the starting job handed to him, like he was promised after a return from injury, the Saints decided to officially name Andy Dalton the starter this week, despite his poor play. They are 3.0-point favorites against the Rams this week. With Matthew Stafford returning, I believe we have the potential for a positive game script for passing targets on the Saints.

Shaheed has been a big play target for Dalton over the past few weeks. His role continues to grow with Jarvis Landry just getting back from injury and Michael Thomas on Injured Reserve. The Rams are 22nd versus wide receivers this year. Olave is a given, but he’ll be a focus of the defense.

Enter Shaheed. He already has a 53-yard TD on his resume this year. Even though he hasn’t consistently produced, I’m expecting six or more targets, 75 or more yards, and a touchdown on the day. Dalton will need to prove he can move the ball to retain his starting job. There will be plenty passing.

Kadarius Toney, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Bold Prediction: 8 receptions, 105 yards, 1 touchdown

24.5 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Michael Quintero, @WeekendMike on Twitter

Michael’s Breakdown: The Kadarius Toney breakout is upon us. From his first to his second game with the Chiefs, from Weeks 9 to 10, Toney’s snaps played increased from nine to 28. With the increase in playing time, Toney’s stat line improved greatly. His five targets were first amongst Kansas City wide receivers, though third behind Jerrick McKinnon and Travis Kelce. With five targets, Toney hauled in four of them for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Ahead of Week 11, Mecole Hardman is heading to the Injured Reserve list with an abdominal issue. Additionally, Juju Smith-Schuster is unlikely to play after a concussion knocked him out of last week’s game. That leaves the door wide open for Toney to cash in on my Week 11 bold prediction.

The Chiefs are heading to Los Angeles for an AFC West battle against the Chargers. They are a tough defense, but Patrick Mahomes still managed to throw for 235 yards and two touchdowns against them in Week 2. Without his full compliment of weapons this time around, I think he will look Toney’s way often. He is going to get into the end zone for the second time in two weeks with a 100-yard performance.

Gus Edwards, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Bold Prediction: 13 rushes, 88 yards, 1 touchdown; 2 receptions, 22 yards

18.0 fantasy points

Fantrax Writer: Reese Jones, @PotPharma on Twitter

Reese’s Breakdown: The Gus Bus is back in action. After the Ravens’ Week 10 bye, Edwards will look to reclaim his role as the starting running back. The last time we saw a full healthy Edwards, he found the end zone twice on 16 carries. Now, in his return from a hamstring injury, I’m not setting the expectations too high. However, my bold prediction still has Edwards racking up nearly 20.0 fantasy points with over 80 yards and a score.

The Carolina Panthers are on the docket for Edwards and the Ravens. They are allowing the fourth-most rushing yards to running backs this season. That’s a big reason they’re allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to the position. Especially with Baker Mayfield set to start at quarterback, I think the Ravens will have full control of this game. With more time of possession, and a projected lead, I’m plugging Edwards into every lineup I can in Week 11.
