Michael Harris – OF Atlanta Braves
Harris will begin his rehab assignment with Gwinnett tomorrow. How many games he plays is TBD
— Mark Bowman (@mlbbowman) April 26, 2023
Coinciding with the report yesterday, Harris looks ready to return within the week, possibly even the weekend.
Raisel Iglesias – RP Atlanta Braves
#Braves’ Raisel Iglesias will throw again Thursday, either live batting practice or a minor league rehab game. Michael Harris II being evaluated after full workout yesterday, to decide when he’s ready for a rehab assignment.
— David O'Brien (@DOBrienATL) April 25, 2023
Iglesias is getting closer to a return, but a minor-league rehab is likely necessary.
Orlando Arcia – SS Atlanta Braves
Arcia says he expects to be playing by the time the Braves return from the road trip next week. When asked if he plans to be activated or to be playing rehab games at that point, he said that is not his decision
— Mark Bowman (@mlbbowman) April 25, 2023
Great news with a date set in mind. There is no word on how this will affect Vaughn Grissom and his playing time. Stay tuned.
Austin Hays – OF Baltimore Orioles
Brandon Hyde said Austin Hays is day-to-day with his finger injury, and they feel lucky it wasn’t worse
— Andy Kostka (@afkostka) April 26, 2023
Both he and the team are very fortunate that this wasn’t a long-term injury here. Consider Hays DTD until otherwise noted.
Cody Bellinger – OF Los Angeles Dodgers
Cody Bellinger has been put on the paternity list.
Nelson Velázquez recalled from Iowa.
— Meghan Montemurro (@M_Montemurro) April 25, 2023
Bellinger will miss a handful of games to be with his family.
Yasmani Grandal – C Chicago White Sox
Pedro Grifol said Yasmani Grandal had a back spasm and is day to day. He said Grandal could catch in an emergency and they don’t think they’ll need to make a roster move.
— James Fegan (@JRFegan) April 26, 2023
Consider Grandal DTD while he works out these kinks. There’s no word on an Injury List designation, but for now, that seems unlikely.
Tim Anderson – SS Chicago White Sox
Pedro Grifol said Tim Anderson will need around 10-15 at-bats on his eventual rehab stint. He’s still here today. Grifol said Hanser Alberto is also close to heading out for an assignment. Yoán Moncada has been limited in his swinging still, so there’s not an immediate timeline. pic.twitter.com/2hyIJHFWee
— James Fegan (@JRFegan) April 25, 2023
While it doesn’t seem like Anderson requires a long rehab, there’s no word yet on when that will start. Consider him out for the rest of this week, but in play for next week.
Wil Meyers – OF Cincinnati Reds
Wil Myers was scratched from the Reds lineup with neck spasms. New lineup vs. the Rangers:
India 4
Steer 5
Fairchild 7
Stephenson 3
Ramos 9
Newman 6
Senzel 8
Barrero DH
Maile 2— Bobby Nightengale (@nightengalejr) April 25, 2023
Consider Myers DTD until otherwise told.
Detroit Tigers – Team Update

— Cody Stavenhagen (@CodyStavenhagen) April 25, 2023
Manning has had a quick recovery following a fracture in his foot. His throwing program indicates that he’s likely ready sooner than expected. Skubal had flexor-tendon surgery last year and remains a long-term health concern. He will need an extended rehab assignment before any consideration to bring him back is made.
Chas McCormick – OF Houston Astros

— Matt Young (@Chron_MattYoung) April 25, 2023
This was the first time since being on the Injured List that McCormick has been able to hit and field. He’s getting closer to a return, but a rehab assignment is likely.
Lance McCullers – SP Houston Astros
Lance McCullers Jr. just wrapped up his throwing sesh. Threw about 20-30 pitches from the front of the LF bullpen mound at the Trop. #Astros
— Brian Murphy (@Spokes_Murphy) April 25, 2023
It is imperative to see how his body responds following this, but a bullpen session is what’s next if he’s okay. McCullers will still require a rehab assignment.
Yordan Alvarez – OF Houston Astros
On @SportsTalk790, Dusty Baker said Yordan Alvarez (neck) is "about the same as yesterday" and the team is awaiting word from its doctors about what's next.
— Chandler Rome (@Chandler_Rome) April 25, 2023
It was a very vague day of questions without concrete answers. Alvarez may not join the team on their respective road trip, but a lot hinges on the recommendations of the doctors. Stay tuned.
JD Martinez – DH Los Angeles Dodgers
J.D. Martinez’s back tightened up on him on Sunday, Dave Roberts said. That’s part of why Michael Busch is DH’ing tonight.
— Fabian Ardaya (@FabianArdaya) April 25, 2023
Consider Martinez DTD until otherwise noted.
Max Muncy – 3B Los Angeles Dodgers, Brusdar Graterol – RP Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers activated RHP Evan Phillips, recalled IF Michael Busch and placed IF Max Muncy and P Brusdar Graterol on the paternity list.
— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) April 25, 2023
Both players will miss a handful of games to be with their families.
Eric Lauer – SP Milwaukee Brewers
Eric Lauer tore the nail on his left middle finger. That was the reason for the visit from Theresa Lau in the long second inning. Lauer didn’t blame that for his command issues tonight and said he expects to not miss a start.
— Adam McCalvy (@AdamMcCalvy) April 26, 2023
Yikes. Consider Lauer DTD while this heals, though a trip to the Injured List isn’t out of the question.
Garrett Mitchell – OF Milwaukee Brewers
Brewers CF Garrett Mitchell’s second opinion confirmed that he’ll need shoulder surgery. It will happen next week. Timetable TBD but he’s probably out for the year.
— Adam McCalvy (@AdamMcCalvy) April 25, 2023
Mitchell received that second opinion, and it was the same as the first. He will be out for most, if not all, of the season. Brutal news.
Ranger Suarez – SP Philadelphia Phillies
Ranger Suárez’s bullpen session went well today, per Rob Thomson. He’ll pitch two innings for Double-A Reading Thursday. He likely needs 3-4 rehab outings.
— Tim Kelly (@TimKellySports) April 26, 2023
So far, Suarez has looked good when he’s pitched, so this comes as no surprise. Consider him ready within the month, but likely by the middle of May.
Logan Gilbert – SP Seattle Mariners
The Mariners switched up the rotation because Logan Gilbert felt muscles spasms by his scapula while working out on Sunday. He threw yesterday at the park in Philly and felt fine. But this was a precautionary move. Marco Gonzales was informed on Sunday of the possible change
— Ryan Divish (@RyanDivish) April 25, 2023
Consider Gilbert still ready to pitch, as there haven’t been rumblings of an Injury List designation. Stay tuned for when he will pitch.
Corey Seager – SS Texas Rangers
Corey Seager did some baseball activities on the field today.
— Evan Grant (@Evan_P_Grant) April 24, 2023
Seager took to the field for the first time since heading to the Injured List. He swung a bat and took grounders on the field. He said recently that he is keeping his arm active and ready, but also taking blood flow restriction therapy. This is done to increase growth hormones and muscle strength through oxygen restriction to tissue during exercise. No word on when he will return, but he took a major step forward by getting onto the field yesterday. How his body responds is key.
