Gabriel Moreno – C Arizona Diamondbacks

The situation here should be settled by the end of the weekend. That said, stay tuned to make sure Moreno is back in the lineup.

John Means – SP Baltimore Orioles

This is a significant setback for Means, who was apparently flying along through his recovery. He was apparently doing some drills and not throwing when this injury occurred. The unfortunate part of this is where on the body that it took place. General Manager Mike Elias indicated that it was a teres major injury, which is nothing minor. Earlier in the year, Justin Verlander and Triston McKenzie suffered the same injury in the spring, and McKenzie is still recovering. While each and every injury is hard not to compare for timeline purposes, the fact of the matter is that this is not minor. As such, it’s been noted that a July return is likely out of the question.

Garrett Whitlock – SP Boston Red Sox

Be prepared.

Adam Duvall – OF Boston Red Sox

Duvall is eligible to come off of the Injured List on June 9, and it remains to be seen if that will happen. The idea of him playing first base has been rejected too.

Wil Myers – OF Cincinnati Reds

There has been no indication that Myers will be out for longer than ten days, but time will tell.

Brenton Doyle – OF Colorado Rockies

This would be an incredible bounce-back effort if Doyle misses time. The crash looked painful and he needed to be carted off the field. All that being said, time will tell what happens here, so stay tuned.

Detroit Tigers – Team Update

A lot to unpack here. There’s been no indication of how long Carpenter’s rehab assignment will be, but it’ll likely be long since he’s been out of action for a while. Manning had not thrown since being on the Injured List, so this is a significant development. Mize is attempting to come back from Tommy John surgery, but these back pains will keep him out of action for a little bit. As for Skubal, his velocity went as high as 98 during this BP, and the team was thoroughly impressed with what he was doing on the mound. Turnbull’s neck continues to improve, but he is moving along quite slowly.

Michael Brantley – OF Houston Astros

Brantley had to push the reset button on his recovery process. Since then he’s had to start over and here we are. There’s been no word on him taking that next step toward actually hitting again. Once that happens, he will likely need a rehab assignment.

Jose Urquidy – SP Houston Astros

Urquidy understands the process, and as such, he feels confident in coming back. The fact is, he’ll likely need a lengthy rehab assignment before returning. If he returns before the All-Star Break, it’ll be a surprising development there.

Jesus Sanchez – OF Miami Marlins

Sanchez looked rusty in that game but beforehand said that he was feeling fantastic. He should be back with the Marlins within a week, barring any setbacks.

Miami Marlins – Team Update

It’s looking like reinforcements will be on the way for the team. Garcia will need some work in his rehab assignment in order to prove that he’s healthy and worth rostering. This is good news here for Rogers, who has accelerated his return from injury as of late, though we don’t know when he will begin his rehab. As for Puk, throwing twenty pitches was a nice step forward, and he could be back within the week or so, depending on a need for a rehab assignment.

Willy Adames – SS Milwaukee Brewers

Adames will miss at least one week here, but thankfully the injury isn’t as bad as it could have been. Stay tuned as he will hopefully be released from the hospital today. It’s fantastic to hear that there are no fractures or substantial injuries.

Minnesota Twins – Team Update

A lot of good news here. This is positive for Maeda, who had just started throwing off the mound and bullpen sessions. It’ll likely be a lengthy one to ensure that he is healthy. As for the team’s hitters, Kepler looks to be closer to a return as he was running quite well earlier in the week. He could be back any day now, while Polanco, eligible to return on Tuesday, may need more time.

Giancarlo Stanton – OF New York Yankees

Stanton will begin a rehab assignment within a week, and he could return shortly after that.

Oneil Cruz – SS Pittsburgh Pirates

This is the first real progressive hurdle that Cruz will have accomplished. Once this happens, he will be able to start regaining strength and mobility in his legs. It’s great news here, but he still has a ways to go.

Ha-Seong Kim – INF San Diego Padres

Fantastic to hear after a scary incident the day before. While he did not appear in last night’s game, look for him to return today.

Thairo Estrada – 2B San Franciso Giants

Estrada, who did not appear in last night’s game, should be considered DTD until we hear about this situation worsening.

Danny Jansen – C Toronto Blue Jays

There has been no indication as to whether or not this injury will be an extensive one. That said, Jansen does have a lengthy injury history. All things considered, Kirk should see close to everyday at-bats. However, if the last game against the Rays is any indication, base runners could have a field day on the Jays.
