To a degree, this is going to be an ever-evolving endeavor throughout the week. As you prepare for Sunday Night Football, there will always be specific plays you like and wish to target. NFL player props will stand out to you, and at the moment, you should capitalize on them. As news changes throughout the week, these markets will move as well, so lock in your player prop picks as you see them.
Each week, I will take a look at four NFL player prop targets on DraftKings for Sunday Night Football and provide some commentary about them. Please be aware though, that these are subject to market movements.
NFL Player Props
Josh Jacobs – Anytime Touchdown (-130)
After spending the majority of Training Camp away from the team, it has been a less-than-ideal start to the season for Josh Jacobs. Through two games, he is averaging just 1.6 yards per carry while adding 74 yards on seven receptions. Last week, things were truly a disaster in the run game as Jacobs actually lost two yards on nine carries.
Game flow was clearly the culprit though as the Raiders were out of the game pretty early on. Buffalo won without issue but Jacobs was at least involved in the passing game. The fact that Jacobs caught five passes for 51 yards is a good sign as we want the ball in his hands here.
After 12 touchdowns last year, Jacobs has yet to find the end zone through two games in 2023. Jacobs and the Raiders should find things to be a little easier to come by this week. That entails targeting Jacobs to score a touchdown for the first time in 2023 with one of our player props.
Najee Harris – Over 50.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Najee Harris has not hit this mark yet in 2023. At the same time, he has not had a matchup as favorable as the one he has tonight against the Raiders. Las Vegas is ranked in the top five in fantasy production for opposing running backs, but the game flow last week is part of that based on the volume. Either way, Harris should find little resistance.
Part of the issue for Harris is that he has just 16 carries through two weeks. Harris has broken the 1,000-yard mark in each season so far in his career and he is generally a volume-based back. When looking at player props for this week though, we have a pretty low barrier to cross. Dating back to last season, Harris eclipsed this mark in six of eight games. In five of those games, Harris also did so with ease.
Kenny Pickett – Over .5 Interceptions (+110)
It is only two games into the season, but Kenny Pickett has an interception in each of them. On the other side of the field, the Las Vegas Raiders have yet to pick a ball off. Tonight’s game figures to be closely contested which means Pickett will be taking to the air. Getting plus money with one of your player props is always an attractive endeavor.
While Pickett has seemingly improved from his rookie year, this isn’t a new problem. Last season, Pickett finished with nine interceptions in parts of 13 games and he has yet to truly look comfortable in 2023.
George Pickens – Over 53.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
It was a slow start to the season for George Pickens with five receptions for 36 yards. From a yardage perspective, he exploded last week with 127 yards, but it came via just four catches.
Now that Diontae Johnson is sidelined, the receiving burden will turn to Pickens. The Raiders are a soft landing spot for the Steelers which means Pickens should find little in the way of resistance. For Pittsburgh to win, Pickens will have to be heavily involved and there is no questioning his explosiveness. In fact, just one of his catches on Monday would have smashed this player prop.
