2024 Fantasy Basketball Center Rankings

Tier 1

1. Victor Wembanyama (SA)
2. Nikola Jokic (DEN)

After a great second half of a rookie season, Victor Wembanyama surges to the top of the center rankings for his sophomore year. Since moving to center full time, Wemby ranked in the top 10 in 8/9 category fantasy. Jokic beat out Wembanyama in 7 out of the 9 categories with Wemby only winning blocks (obviously) and threes (slightly). To finish this season ahead of Jokic, Wembanyama will have to make a big leap in his game.

Tier 2

3. Anthony Davis (LAL)
4. Joel Embiid (PHI)
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL)

Joel Embiid has already come out and hinted that he might not be playing in not just all 82 games but not even 65. And the same thing is a worry for Davis and Antetokounmpo as well. On a per-game basis, all three are still elite, obviously. Where exactly to draft them in your league depends on the exact setup of the league. For example, in a league with a weekly roster lock, you might think twice before taking any of these players.

Tier 3

6. Domantas Sabonis (SAC)
7. Chet Holmgren (OKC)

In a way, these two are the poor man’s versions of the top two players. Sabonis is Jokic and Holmgren is Wembanyama. Both guys played the full 82-game schedule in 23-24, which makes them solid choices to fill the C position on your fantasy rosters.

Tier 4

8. Alperen Sengun (HOU)
9. Jaren Jackson (MEM)
10. Karl-Anthony Towns (NY)
11. Bam Adebayo (MIA)

The last group of reasonable #1 centers for your fantasy team. Anyone below here in a standard league and you might struggle.

Tier 5

12. Evan Mobley (CLE)
13. Pascal Siakam (IND)
14. Rudy Gobert (MIN)
15. Myles Turner (IND)
16. Zion Williamson (NO)
17. Nikola Vucevic (CHI)
18. Jarrett Allen (CLE)
19. Kristaps Porzingis (BOS)

Evan Mobley has a lot of hype behind him but has not yet shown it in fantasy. From a stat perspective, he’s fundamentally a version of Rudy Gobert. Zion Williamson – do you believe in him this time? Porzingis is out for at least a few months and drafting him will be a pure stash play for the fantasy playoffs.

Tier 6

20. Jalen Duren (DET)
21. Deandre Ayton (POR)
22. Nicolas Claxton (BKN)
23. Mark Williams (CHA)

By this point, you should have at least two centers on your roster. These are basically all solid field goal percentage, rebounds, and blocks guys. Be wary of Mark Williams’ injury proneness.

Tier 7

24. Jabari Smith (HOU)
25. Isaiah Hartenstein (OKC)
26. Brook Lopez (MIL)
27. Jusuf Nurkic (PHO)

Jabari Smith has some upside, particularly if his shooting can improve, which some say is going to happen. Brook Lopez remains a sneaky good threes and blocks option for your fantasy roster.

Tier 8

28. Daniel Gafford (DAL)
29. Walker Kessler (UTA)
30. Jakob Poeltl (TOR)
31. John Collins (UTA)
32. Dereck Lively (DAL)
33. Draymond Green (GS)
34. Onyeka Okongwu (ATL)
35. Ivica Zubac (LAC)
36. Jonas Valanciunas (WAS)

This group is very limited as far as fantasy is concerned. On the off-chance that the Hawks decide to move on from Clint Capela, Okongwu becomes a solid choice. Gafford and Kessler are strong at blocks. Zubac might find himself with a surprisingly big role for the dismal Clippers.

Tier 9

37. Naz Reid (MIN)
38. Clint Capela (ATL)
39. Trayce Jackson-Davis (GS)
40. Bobby Portis (MIL)
41. Al Horford (BOS)
42. Zach Edey (MEM)
43. Wendell Carter (ORL)
44. Mitchell Robinson (NY)
45. Kelly Olynyk (TOR)
46. Donovan Clingan (POR)
47. Andre Drummond (PHI)
48. Noah Clowney (BKN)
49. Kel’el Ware (MIA)
50. Robert Williams (POR)
51. Isaiah Stewart (DET)
52. Nick Richards (CHA)
53. Mason Plumlee (PHO)
54. Zach Collins (SA)
55. Isaiah Jackson (IND)
