Must Know Fantasy Football Notes from Week 6

There is so much that happens each week in the NFL that you might miss some important details, especially when it comes to your Fantasy Football leagues. We often get so focused on our Fantasy Football matchups that we overlook important information about what happens outside of them. That’s where I come in. I analyze every team and provide notes on what I believe is crucial to know for Fantasy Football in a given week. This includes examining player roles, volume, efficiency, production, Fantasy scoring, and other noteworthy details. This article series serves as a comprehensive one-stop shop to catch up on what’s happening in the Fantasy Football world, giving you a true edge in your league. Let’s dive in!

Must Know Fantasy Football Notes from Week 6

Arizona Cardinals

  • Trey McBride caught all eight targets for 96 yards and scored 17.6 Fantasy Points. McBride has earned 17 targets across the last two weeks and this was the second time he scored 17+ Fantasy Points. One of the only tight ends with upside I trust rest of season.
  • Kyler Murray finished with 11.96 Fantasy Points which marks the fourth time he has scored under 15 Fantasy Points through six weeks this season.
  • Emari Demercado’s five receptions propelled him to double-digit Fantasy Points (11.4). James Conner disappointed due to the game script limiting him to just 11 touches
  • Marvin Harrison Jr. suffered a head injury which we will need to monitor and meant him leaving in the second quarter.

Atlanta Falcons

  • Bijan Robinson had his best week of the season rushing 15 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns. 25.5 Fantasy Points. Hopefully, this is a sign of more heavy production to come after scoring under 12 Fantasy Points the previous two weeks.
  • Tyler Allgeier also had a very productive day on the ground rushing 18 times for 105 yards and scoring 19.8 Fantasy Points. Allgeier should be rostered due to the upside he has as a handcuff that we have seen in the past.
  • Drake London caught six of his 10 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown. London now has four touchdowns on the season, and his 19.4 Fantasy Points come after his explosive 33.4 Fantasy-Point Week 5. The breakout we have been hoping for is here.
  • Kyle Pitts caught three passes for 70 yards while Darnell Mooney also caught three passes for 38 yards.

Baltimore Ravens

  • Derrick Henry had yet another monster Fantasy Football week. Henry rushed 24 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns. 25.2 Fantasy Points in Week 6 marks the third time across the last four games Henry has scored 25+ points. Henry now has eight rushing touchdowns through six weeks of football. This man is 30?
  • Zay Flowers caught all nine targets for 132 receiving yards and scored 22.4 Fantasy Points. Flowers just finished with 111 yards in Week 5, and 91 back in Week 2. Week 6 was the third time Flowers has scored 19+ Fantasy Points this season.
  • Lamar Jackson threw 20/26 for 323 passing yards with a touchdown, an interception, and added 40 rushing yards. This was the second week in a row Lamar threw for over 320 yards and the sixth straight he rushed for 40+ yards.
  • After catching four of five targets in Week 5 for 55 yards, Mark Andrews caught three of his four targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Week 6. Signs of life. 15.6 Fantasy Points is a difference-making score for the position.

Carolina Panthers

  • Diontae Johnson had yet another productive day with Andy Dalton. DJ caught six of his 10 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown. In three of the last four games Johnson has been targeted 10+ times, scored a touchdown, and finished with 19+ Fantasy Points. A FLEX play that has truly paid off vs what his draft cost was.
  • Chuba Hubbard rushed 18 times for 92 yards and caught five passes for 15.3 Fantasy Points. Week 6 was the fourth straight week rushing for over 90 yards and the fifth straight week catching four or more passes. Drafted as the RB42, Hubbard is currently averaging 16 Fantasy PPG which ranks 11th. Great value pick this year.
  • 2024 first-round rookie Xavier Legette caught his second touchdown pass across the last three weeks which once again meant double-digit Fantasy Points.

Chicago Bears

  • Caleb Williams was one of the standouts of the weekend throwing 23/29 (79.3%) for 226 yards, four touchdowns, an interception, and rushed for a season-high 56 yards. 28.64 is a massive score for the first overall draft pick this year. Week 6 was the second week in a row Williams has scored 23+ Fantasy Points. Williams has two previous games passing for over 300 yards. An elite talent is showing signs of elite production.
  • Cole Kmet scored 24 Fantasy Points in Week 6 which is his second-highest score of the season (25.7 points in Week 3). Kmet caught all five targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
  • D’Andre Swift scored 21.9 Fantasy Points in Week 6, 20 in Week 5, and 29.5 points in Week 4. One of the hottest running backs in football. Swift rushed 17 times for 91 yards which is the second time across the last three weeks he has rushed for over 90. Swift has also scored a touchdown for three straight weeks. Four catches in Week 6 is the third time he has caught four-plus balls.
  • Keenan Allen had his best day as a Bear, catching all five targets for 41 yards and two touchdowns. 21.1 Fantasy Points in Week 6 was the first he scored seven or more points this year.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Joe Burrow threw 19/28 (67.9%) for 208 yards and rushed for 55 yards with a rushing touchdown. 19.82 Fantasy Points followed up his massive 33.78 points in Week 5.
  • After scoring 29.3 Fantasy Points in Week 5, Tee Higgins followed that up with 14.7 in Week 6. Higgins caught all seven passes for 77 yards.
  • Chase Brown rushed 10 times for 53 yards and a touchdown for 14.4 Fantasy Points. Brown has now scored over 14 Fantasy Points for three weeks in a row. Zack Moss fumbled in the third quarter which impacted him getting more touches after that, and finished with just seven touches on the day.
  • Ja’Marr Chase exploded in Week 5 for 41.3 Fantasy Points but scored just 12.2 points in Week 6. Chase caught five of his six targets for 72 yards. Chase scored 17.5+ Fantasy Points in the previous three games in a row.

Cleveland Browns

  • It is getting hard to trust any player on the Browns. For the second week in a row, no player scored 12 Fantasy Points. Deshaun Watson has yet to throw for 200 yards and has thrown just five touchdowns through six weeks. Jameis Winston is licking his lips at a potential opportunity.
  • Jerome Ford suffered a hamstring injury and is now considered “week-to-week”. D’Onta Foreman could see an increased role and Nick Chubb is set to return from the IR soon.

Dallas Cowboys

  • CeeDee Lamb caught half of his 14 targets for 89 yards which meant 16.1 Fantasy Points. CeeDee Lamb averaged 23.7 Fantasy Points last season and has scored under that average in all 6 games this season. 14 targets is a season-high so at least that is encouraging.
  • Rico Dowdle rushed five times for 25 yards and caught five passes for 30 yards. Ezekiel Eliott rushed eight times for 17 yards.
  • Dak Prescott threw 17/33 (51.5%) for 178 yards and two interceptions. 3.22 Fantasy Points killed you in your matchup if you played him. Dak has an eight-to-six touchdown-to-interception ratio this year and is averaging 16.1 Fantasy PPG after averaging 20.7 last year.

Denver Broncos

  • Bo Nix threw 19/33 (57.6%) for 216 yards, two touchdowns, an interception, rushed for 61 yards, and finished with 20.74 Fantasy Points. Nix has scored 19+ Fantasy Points in three of his last four appearances with a very below-average core. Nix has thrown a pair of touchdowns in back-to-back games and has 180 rushing yards on the season.
  • Courtland Sutton caught four of his six targets for 53 yards and a touchdown for 15.3 Fantasy Points. This was the second time across the last three weeks Sutton scored a touchdown and 15-ish points.
  • Rookie Devaughn Vele caught four of his six targets for 78 yards. In two appearances this season Vele has scored 11.9/11.8 Fantasy Points.
  • Rookie Troy Franklin caught his first NFL touchdown from his college-turned-pro teammate quarterback. Nice seeing that Oregon connection connect.

Detroit Lions

  • Jared Goff was dealing in Week 6 throwing 18/25 (72%) for 315 yards and three touchdowns. Goff scored 25.1 Fantasy Points in Week 6 after scoring 27.18 right before the Week 5 BYE.
  • David Montgomery rushed 12 times for 80 yards and scored two touchdowns. Monty has scored in every game this season and has six rushing touchdowns through five appearances. Monty scored 21 Fantasy Points for the second time this season as well in Week 6.
  • Jameson Williams caught three of his four targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. Jamo finished with 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 right before the BYE. Williams has now scored 16+ Fantasy Points in three of his five games this season.
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown scored a touchdown for the third straight week and Sam LaPorta also scored and finished with over 50 receiving yards for the second week in a row.

Green Bay Packers

  • Jordan Love threw 22/32 (68.8%) for 258 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception. Love scored 25.62 Fantasy Points which was the second game scoring 25+ across the last three weeks since returning from injury.
  • Romeo Doubs had his best game of the season, catching three of his four targets for 49 yards and two touchdowns for 19.9 Fantasy Points. Christian Watson also caught three of four targets but for 68 yards and a touchdown for 15.8 Fantasy Points.
  • Jayden Reed caught all six targets for 28 yards and a touchdown for 14.8 Fantasy Points. This comes with a lingering ankle issue. Reed has earned six-plus targets in five of his six games this week.
  • Josh Jacobs rushed 18 times for 62 yards and caught three passes for 28 yards. Jacobs scored 12 Fantasy Points.

Houston Texans

  • Joe Mixon rushed 13 times for 102 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 30 yards and another touchdown. Mixon has only played two full games (Week 1 and Week 6) and in those two games he scored 26.8 and then 27.2 points.
  • Stefon Diggs caught six of seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown for 19.7 Fantasy Points. Diggs has scored 18+ Fantasy Points in three of his last four games.
  • Tank Dell had his best game of the season in the absence of Nico Collins. Dell caught seven of nine targets for 57 yards and a touchdown for 18.7 Fantasy Points. Good sign to produce while Nico is on the IR.
  • CJ Stroud threw 20/31 (64.5%) for 192 yards, three touchdowns, an interception, and scored 18.38 Fantasy Points. This was the third week Stroud scored 18+ Fantasy Points.
  • Dameon Pierce played his first game of the season and rushed eight times for 76 yards and a touchdown for 14.7 Fantasy Points. He immediately reclaimed that RB2 role.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Gabe Davis led the team with 21.5 Fantasy Points by catching five of his eight targets for 45 yards and two touchdowns. This was the first game Davis scored 10+ Fantasy Points this season.
  • Evan Engram returned to action after missing four weeks to catch all 10 targets for 102 yards which meant 18.2 Fantasy Points. Big volume paired with big production should bring your confidence back in Engram moving forward.
  • Trevor Lawrence threw 23/35 (65.7%) for 234 passing yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. TLaw has thrown a pair of touchdowns in three straight games now.
  • Travis Etienne Jr. suffered a hamstring injury which is deemed “week-to-week”. Tank Bigsby, who has recently flashed in Week 4 and Week 5 should take on the lead role which boosts his Fantasy stock a ton. The confusing piece though is D’Ernest Johnson out-touching Bigsby eight to seven in Week 6.

Los Angeles Chargers

  • JK Dobbins had a bounce-back performance after two down weeks in a row rushing 25 times for 96 yards and a touchdown. Dobbins scored 18.2 Fantasy Points in Week 6 after scoring over 20 Fantasy Points with massive rushing games in Weeks 1 and 2.
  • Justin Herbert had his best Fantasy score of the season with 13.68 points by throwing for 237 yards and a touchdown. Herbert finished with under 180 passing yards in his other four appearances.
  • Rookie Kimani Vidal scored a touchdown on his first career NFL touch (30-yard receiving touchdown). Vidal finished with 51 total yards on six touches.
  • Ladd McConkey was not super productive but what was encouraging was leading the team with eight targets in a game Herbert was spreading the ball out.

Las Vegas Raiders

  • Alexander Mattison rushed 14 times for 33 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 32 yards. Mattison scored a season-high 17.5 Fantasy Points which makes four weeks with double-digit scoring.
  • Brock Bowers caught nine of his 10 targets for 71 yards. 16.1 Fantasy Points comes after an explosive 23.78 point week. Bowers has been targeted 22 times across the last two games and now has three games with over 70 receiving yards. Bowers currently has 83 more receiving yards, 8 more targets, and 9 more receptions than any other TE. Bowers is averaging 13.8 Fantasy PPG (#2).

New England Patriots

  • Drake Maye balled out in his NFL debut. Maye threw 20/33 (60.6%) for 243 passing yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions, and 38 rushing yards. 19.52 Fantasy Points. The third overall draft pick in 2024 should be picked up off of waivers.
  • Demario Douglas caught six of his nine targets for 92 yards and a touchdown. I know it was with different quarterbacks but that is back-to-back weeks catching six of nine targets. Douglas scored 21.2 Fantasy Points in Week 6.
  • Hunter Henry caught three of his five targets for 41 yards and a TD. 13.1  Fantasy Points is Henry’s second-best Fantasy score since Week 2’s 18.9.
  • Antonio Gibson finished with 16 touches to JaMycal Hasty’s four, but neither was very productive.

New Orleans Saints

  • Alvin Kamara rushed 13 times for 40 yards and a touchdown. Kamara also caught five passes for 24 yards. 17.4 Fantasy Points in Week 6 was the fourth time Kamara has scored 17+ points. Kamara has caught at least five passes for three straight weeks now.
  • Both of Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed suffered injuries that will need to be monitored moving forward.
  • Fifth-round rookie Bub Means stepped up in the absence of the above two players, catching five of his eight targets for 45 yards and a touchdown. 15.5 Fantasy Points. Some waiver wire implications.
  • Fifth-round rookie Spencer Rattler made his NFL debut throwing 22/40 (55%) for 243 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Rattler could earn a couple of more starts in Derek Carr’s absence.

New York Giants

  • Tyrone Tracy Jr. logged another start in place of Devin Singletary. Tracy rushed 18 times for 129 yards in Week 5. Tracy then rushed 17 times for 50 yards and a touchdown. Tracy caught six passes on top of that for 57 yards, which was 22.7 Fantasy Points. These two performances can certainly mean a much bigger role, even when Singletary returns, for the rest of the season.
  • After catching eight of his 11 targets in Week 5 for 122 yards and a touchdown, Darius Slayton caught six of his 11 targets for 57 yards. With Malik Nabers out of the lineup the last two weeks, Slayton has filled that role.
  • Wan’Dale Robinson was targeted 11 times and scored double-digit Fantasy Points for the fourth straight week. Wan’Dale currently leads the NFL in targets (58) and is top 30 in Fantasy PPG.

Philadelphia Eagles

  • AJ Brown returned to action after missing the last three games to catch six of his nine targets for 116 yards and a touchdown. AJ Brown scored 22.9 Fantasy Points in Week 1 and 23.6 Fantasy Points in Week 6 (his only two games).
  • Jalen Hurts threw 16/25 (64%) for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and rushed for 33 yards. 21.86 was the second time Hurts scored 21+ points this season.
  • DeVonta Smith caught three passes for 64 yards and a touchdown for 15.4 Fantasy Points. DeVonta has yet to score under 14 Fantasy Points through four games played this year.
  • Dallas Goedert was injured on the third play of the game. Grant Calcaterra stepped into the TE1 role and caught all four targets for 67 yards.

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Justin Fields threw 14/24 (58.3%) for 145 yards, rushed for 59 yards, and scored two rushing touchdowns. Fields scored 23.7 Fantasy Points in Week 6, and scored 31.98 in Week 4. Fields is a true Fantasy asset and deserves to keep the starting role over a healthy Russell Wilson.
  • Najee Harris had his best game of the season rushing 14 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. That rushing yardage is over 30 more than any other week this season. 20.2 Fantasy Points is over six more points than any other week as well.

Seattle Seahawks

  • Kenneth Walker III continues to produce, rushing 14 times for 32 yards and a touchdown. KWIII caught eight passes for 37 yards which comes after a week he caught seven passes for 57 yards. The increase in passing usage is huge for KWIII’s Fantasy stock, and he is averaging 22 Fantasy Points on the year.
  • Tyler Lockett was the standout from the wide receiver room, catching four of his eight targets for 65 yards and a touchdown for 16.5 Fantasy Points. Lockett finished with 75 and 61 yards in the two games prior.

San Franscisco 49ers

  • Brock Purdy had a huge day throwing 18/28 (64.3%) for 255 yards and three passing touchdowns. 24.1 Fanntasy Points in Week 6 is his second highest score of the season (Week 3’s 25.78). Purdy currently ranks second in the NFL with 1,629 passing yards.
  • After scoring 20.4 Fantasy Points in Week 5, George Kittle scored 22.8 points in Week 6. Kittle caught five of six targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Kittle has scored a touchdown in four straight games with five total across that span and has three weeks over 20 Fantasy Points.
  • Deebo Samuel scored a season-high 20.7 Fantasy Points, taking three catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
  • Jordan Mason suffered an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. Rookie Isaac Guerendo stepped in to rush 10 times for 99 yards. Big waiver wire pickup this week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Chris Godwin already was having a great season but exploded for his best Fantasy performance in Week 6. Godwin caught 11 of his 13 targets for 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns. All season-highs there to add up to his 35.5 Fantasy Points. Godwin’s 20.7 Fantasy PPG ranks #3 for the position, and he is having an outstanding year so far as a player who was a value in drafts.
  • With Rachaad White out, the standout was sophomore Sean Tucker who had a massive 34.2 Fantasy Point outing. Tucker rushed 14 times for 136 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 56 yards and a receiving touchdown. Huge waiver wire implications here with that performance.
  • Bucky Irving also had a solid day rushing 14 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and catching two passes for 24 yards. 18.5 points.
  • Baker Mayfield threw 24/36 (66.7%) for 325 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, three interceptions, and scored 25.9 Fantasy Points. Baker is throwing a career-high 70.9% completion percentage, leads the NFL with 15 passing touchdowns, and is averaging a career-best 23.4 (#2)  Fantasy PPG through 6 weeks.

Tennessee Titans

  • Tony Pollard was the only player to score over 10 Fantasy Points (17.8). Pollard rushed 17 times for 93 yards and a touchdown. Pollard has finished three weeks with over 80 rushing yards as well as scored 17+ points in three games this season.

Washington Commanders

  • Terry McLaurin caught six of his seven targets for 53 yards and scored two touchdowns. 23.3 Fantasy Points is a season-best score and marks the third time across the last four weeks he has scored 18+ points.
  • Jayden Daniels threw 24/35 (68.6%) for 269 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and rushed for 22 yards. Daniels scored 20.96 points which is the fourth time this season that he scored over 20 Fantasy Points through four weeks. Daniels has also thrown six touchdowns across the last four weeks.
  • Austin Ekeler has yet to have a massive Fantasy week but has scored double-digit Fantasy Points in every game played this season.
