2024 Fantasy Football: Week 10 Wide Receiver Streamer and Sleepers

Bye weeks are back. With four teams not playing this week, options for your fantasy team might be sparse. It’s crunch time for the push to the fantasy playoffs so getting those few extra points might be not only the difference between a win or loss but also a playoff berth or not. Here are Week 10’s wide receiver sleepers and streamers.

Week 10 Wide Receiver Streamers

Rome Odunze – Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are a struggling team right now. They haven’t scored over 20 points in either of their past two games. Some of these struggles were expected. They have a rookie quarterback and no matter how touted Caleb Williams was he will have his growing pains. One of the highlights over the past two weeks has been Caleb’s rookie counterpart wide receiver Rome Odunze. The former Washington Huskie has seen 13 targets in the past two weeks and his snap share is hovering around 80%.

The only pause for concern this week is the matchup. The New England Patriots boast a solid trio of cornerbacks. Odunze is playing the majority of his snaps on the outside with Keenan Allen taking the slot role on three wide sets. That would put Odunze against sophomore corner Christian Gonzalez who PFF.com rates as the 52nd best cover corner. As long as Odunze can avoid coverage from Jonathan Jones he should be okay. He has the route-running skills to create separation from Gonzalez and soft spots in zone coverage. Odunze’s upside is probably capped by the projected low-scoring game and the subpar play from Caleb Williams as of late.

Ladd McConkey – Los Angeles Chargers

Normally I want my wide receiver streamers to be guys with high snap shares and playing on two wide sets. Ladd McConkey is one of the few slot exceptions. The talented rookie has made himself a crucial part of the Chargers offense and his fantasy production has shown that. Despite playing on average only 67% of the team’s snaps McConkey is leading the team in targets and has seen at least six in all but one game this year. He has gained the trust of quarterback Justin Herbert who is still one of the best passers in the league.

It’s not an amazing matchup against the Tennessee Titans. A team giving up the second-fewest points to wide receivers. I think that stat is a little misleading. The Titans haven’t been able to score points which has put their opponents in run-first game scripts more often than not. They do have a solid defense including the cornerback position. The slot corner for the Titans is Roger McCreary who PFF.com rates as the 46th best cover corner. McConkey will have to utilize his route running to find space. He will have to rack up his yards after the catch to be a star but he is a solid option for your fantasy team this week.

Courtland Sutton – Denver Broncos

The NFL is blessed with an amazing group of rookie quarterbacks who are all playing well and perhaps the best two haven’t even gotten their chance yet. One of those is Denver quarterback Bo Nix. As he continues to develop and learn at the NFL level his pass catchers will benefit. The biggest beneficiary so far has been veteran Courtland Sutton. Sutton has only three games this season with under double-digit fantasy points. That with only scoring two touchdowns on the year. It’s coming from catches and yards.

In Week 10 Sutton and the Broncos have to deal with the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. It’s a tough matchup for Sutton who will see one of the league’s cornerbacks in Trent McDuffie. The Broncos will have to get creative to find better matchups for Sutton. If they can’t he will have to rely on his size and use the 5’ advantage he has over McDuffie. It won’t be a complete disappointment for Sutton this week but it also won’t be a dud. He should still see plenty of opportunities and if he can capitalize on just one of them he will be a solid wide receiver streamer.

Wide Receiver Sleepers

KaVontae Turpin – Dallas Cowboys

Will it be Dak Prescott or Cooper Rush? That is the question that everyone will be wondering for the Dallas Cowboys as they head into their key divisional game against the Philadelphia Eagles. If it is Rush I like KaVontae Turpin even more. Known as one of the best kick returners in the game he has started to come alive as he is worked into the offense. His speed brings an element to the team that is missing. He has only played on limited snaps but has seen 20 targets over the past four games. If Rush is the passer he and Turpin have built a solid connection practicing on the second team. It was on full display once Rush came into the game in Week 9.

The Eagles do have a very solid secondary. They drafted Cooper DeJean this year who has become a standout as a slot corner. That is where Turpin has played the majority of his snaps when he is in the game. Turpin plays more on four wide sets so it could lead to him drawing a safety or even a linebacker on him. His speed is the difference maker. With CeeDee Lamb commanding double coverage I expect Turpin to find the ball in his hands at least three times in this game. He should be able to use his speed to capitalize on that. If you get points for kick returns he is even more enticing this week.

Ray-Ray McCloud – Atlanta Flacons

Finding a wide receiver sleeper who is playing on over 80% of his team’s snaps is hard to do. But here we are with Ray-Ray McCloud for the Atlanta Falcons. He’s not just out there running wind sprints. McCloud has seen a handful of targets in every game and even gets one or two designed run plays as well. He scored his first receiving touchdown of the year this past week and could continue to be that this week. Drake London left the week 9 game with a hip injury so his status will need to be monitored. If London isn’t 100% McCloud will see more snaps and targets.

The Falcons have a divisional matchup against the New Orleans Saints. A team that is giving up the ninth most points to wide receivers as a whole. The Saints also do not have a cornerback that rates highly by PFF.com. Their best secondary player is safety Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu plays most of his time as a free safety and doesn’t engage in man coverage. That is good for McCloud who can find soft matchups and open space in zones to utilize his speed after the catch.

Xavier Worthy – Kansas City Chiefs

The NFL world was shocked when the Buffalo Bills traded back with the Kansas City Chiefs allowing them to move up and select the fastest player the NFL combine has ever seen in Xavier Worthy. It brought back flashbacks of all the plays that Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill made. So far in 2024, we have only seen glimpses of what Worthy can do on the football field but when we do it’s special. One of those weeks was back in Week 1. A week where the Chiefs and head coach Andy Reid have plenty of time to design specific plays for the speedster. The Chiefs know that creating a mismatch for him is a key to success. They haven’t had to unlock the playbook too much as they have rarely been trailing in a game. I expect coming off a short week that may change.

It’s a matchup against the Denver Broncos. A team with solid corners and safeties but they don’t have the same level of speed as Worthy. With the addition of DeAndre Hopkins to the offense the Broncos will have to account for him creating even more miss matches for Worthy. The Broncos will have to keep pace on offense and prevent the Chiefs from becoming one-dimensional and running the ball. Even if they do Worthy has been given a few designed sweeps and bubble screens to utilize his speed. Every time he touches the ball it can be a game-breaking play. I love having that upside in my wide receiver sleepers.
