Week 11 Quarterback and Running Back Starts and Sits

There are seven more weeks of starts and sits for fantasy football and four more weeks of the fantasy regular season. Now is the time, more than ever, to clinch those playoff spots and be stress-free till the playoffs. In Week 10, starts and sits took a rough hit at the quarterback position. Out of the eight players, one did not play, three proved me wrong, and then there were four who I was correct on.

Daniel Jones finished as the QB13 despite the slow start. Tony Pollard and Jayden Daniels were nonfactors. The worst miss was benching Kyler Murray. Murray ended up as the QB4 against a Jets’ defense that has not been the same since Robert Saleh was fired. In conclusion, I need to be better to help others clinch the playoffs.

Week 11 Quarterback Starts

Bo Nix vs. Atlanta Falcons

Bo Nix has been the second-best rookie quarterback behind Jayden Daniels. The Broncos were a last-second field goal away from defeating the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, too. With that being said, Nix is a fabulous start in starts and sits in Week 11. The Falcons are allowing the seventh most fantasy ppg to quarterbacks. Also, they have given up the third most rushing yards to the position, too. Nix averages around 29 rushing ypg, and the Falcons give up around 30 rushing ypg to quarterbacks. Nix is my second favorite player in starts and sits and should see another QB1 week in Week 11.

Justin Herbert vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Justin Herbert did not have a QB1 finish from Week 1 to Week 7. He has had three consecutive QB1 weeks from Week 8 to Week 10 and faces a Cincinnati Bengals defense, allowing the eighth most fantasy ppg to quarterbacks. Herbert is a perfect candidate to start for the rest of the season if you are searching for a glimmer of light. The Bengals are just like the Falcons, being tied for sixth most passing touchdowns given up to the position. With the Bengals passing attack, Herbert will have to match up with Joe Burrow’s passing. Get ready for Herbert’s fourth consecutive QB1 finish.

Quarterback Sits

Jordan Love @ Chicago Bears

Jordan Love is doing his best Brett Favre impression with the number of interceptions he has thrown. Love started the season off hot. Although he missed Week 2 and Week 3, Love had four QB1 finishes in his first five games. In Week 8 and Week 9, Love finished as the QB33 and QB23. It gets no easier as the Packers travel to face the Chicago Bears. The Bears are allowing the fewest fantasy ppg to quarterbacks. They have also allowed just six passing touchdowns and have eight interceptions on the season. Love had 11 interceptions last season and has ten already with eight games left. I’d pivot to some streaming options and keep Love on your bench.

Jayden Daniels vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Jayden Daniels faced one of the best defenses in Week 10 and finished as the QB24 and was a sit in starts and sit. This week is no different. The Eagles are allowing 13.08 fantasy ppg to quarterbacks, which is the fifth fewest. The Eagles have also only allowed 104 rushing yards to the position. Daniels is averaging around 46 rushing ypg, and the Eagles are allowing 11.5 per game. Minimizing Daniels’ rushing upside takes away a tremendous amount of his fantasy upside, and that is why he is a sit for starts and sits again in Week 11.

Week 11 Running Back Starts

Nick Chubb @ New Orleans Saints

The Saints allowed Bijan Robinson to finish as the overall RB1 in Week 10. In Week 11, a former top-five running back gets his stab at it. Nick Chubb had one of the worst injuries last season and has quickly recovered. Nick Chubb has been back for three games with finishes as the RB26, RB43 and RB47. It sounds bad, but he had less than a 40% snap share in two of the three games. The Saints are allowing the fourth most fantasy ppg to running backs, and this is the perfect opportunity for Chubb to ramp his workload back up. Nick Chubb is the player I am most confident in for starts and sits in Week 11.

Najee Harris vs. Baltimore Ravens

One of the greatest rivalries resumes in Week 11. The Baltimore Ravens travel to Pittsburgh for a clash for first place in the AFC North. Najee Harris has recorded a touchdown in three of his last four games. He has also seen over 100 rushing yards in three of his last four games. The Ravens are the worst team in football against wide receivers. With Russell Wilson under center, it will be a long day for the Ravens’ secondary. In turn, that will leave the running game wide open for Najee Harris to capitalize. Chase Brown was a streamer for me against this same Ravens team and finished as a top-five running back. Start Harris with confidence in Week 11.

Running Back Sits

James Cook vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Patrick Mahomes vs Buffalo Bills story continues this Sunday. The Chiefs are stiff against the run, while the Bills allow running backs to gain fantasy points as if it were their hobby. The Chiefs are currently allowing the fewest fantasy ppg to running backs and under 60 rushing ypg. James Cook has been great as he is the RB11 in full PPR total points and also already has nine touchdowns compared to having six total last season. I think Cook has a great game if he scores, and the Chiefs have allowed just THREE total touchdowns to the position thus far. Cook looks like a lineup lock you might not have another strong choice, but he is a sit for me in starts and sits in Week 11.

Washington Commanders running backs vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Commanders’ running backs will see the same issue Jayden Daniels will see. The Eagles’ run defense is too lethal with the weapons they have in the front seven. They have allowed a little over 85 rushing ypg to running backs, but just TWO touchdowns allowed all season long. With every match-up now being so crucial with the fantasy playoffs on the horizon, it is too risky to start Brian Robinson, who has been dealing with injuries. It is also too risky to start the inefficient Austin Ekeler and hope he records a touchdown against a defense that does not give them up too often.
