It’s another week of NHL action and we are looking at the best potential forwards to pick up off of your fantasy hockey waiver wire. While these three players are meant to be strong streaming options in this less packed week of action, there is always the possibility that any of them can turn into more, especially one forward, in particular, I’ve picked out. So let’s get right into it.
Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 7
Mason Marchment, Dallas Stars
Mason Marchment has popped off for four goals and nine points in the last three games. He is actually known to do this from time to time, so if you’re the lucky fantasy hockey manager who has him on your team for these stretches or big games, it’s a major advantage. He is on a line with Matt Duchene and Tyler Seguin, both veterans who are also having strong starts to their seasons.
Marchment is up to six goals and 17 points in 15 games this season for the Dallas Stars. On top of his hot start in the offensive category, he is an option on the power play, will shoot, and is a solid player to have if your league also tracks hits. Dallas plays two more times this week, but one game against the San Jose Sharks pops out as a big potential game. Marchment is the player who isn’t rostered as much as he should be but will be scooped up quickly at this point if you don’t jump on this potential season-long addition.
Tyler Seguin, Dallas Stars
If Marchment happens to be owned already and you’re looking to stream someone for a short time who has been consistent all season, Seguin is the player you should look at. As stated already, he is on the same line as Marchment and Duchene and this trio is playing great.
Seguin has points in 10 of 12 games he’s played this season, so it’s a good chance he’ll provide in a game that you have him for. He is riding a three-game point streak in which he has scored one goal and recorded four points to go along with a power-play point, 13 shots, and two blocked shots. He’s not an amazing all-around player, but he has provided scoring and been a player to have on your fantasy hockey team this season for sure.
Anthony Beauvillier, Pittsburgh Penguins
Anthony Beauvillier falls right into the category of a good streamer option for this week. He is back on the top line playing alongside Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell and has done well because of it. The Pittsburgh Penguins have been altering their lines a fair bit this season because of the struggles and injuries, but Beauvillier proved to be effective on the top line and has been back there proving it is the right decision.
Beauvillier won’t get power-play time on the top unit but did actually produce a power-play point two games ago. He is on a four-game point streak where he’s scored three goals and five points. Before just assisting on a goal in his previous game, he was on a three-game goal-scoring streak as well. The winger is consistently recording a few shots, hits, and blocking some shots this season and the Penguins match up against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Winnipeg Jets, and Utah HC this week.
