Deep League Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire for Week 22

In fantasy basketball, the playoffs can be won and lost on the waiver wire. Be sure you are more attentive than ever as the fantasy playoffs continue. Every add, every drop, every schedule edge matters. This week, it’s a little tighter than usual with your league mates hoarding players, but there’s still value if you know where to look—and more importantly, when to strike.

Week 22 NBA Schedule

Minnesota and Phoenix are the landmines with just two games, and the Timberwolves don’t suit up until Wednesday, which makes things hairy if you’re chasing early-week production.

Brooklyn, Golden State, Houston, Indiana, LA Clippers, Miami, Oklahoma City, Portland, and Toronto all give you four games without a back-to-back.

Charlotte, Milwaukee, and Sacramento close the week with a weekend back-to-back. Meanwhile, Cleveland, Dallas, and the Lakers are done by Friday, so they would be teams to target early in the week.

Deep League Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire

Oliver-Maxence Prosper— F/C, Grizzlies

The Grizzlies play four games this week. If Taylor Hendricks is on the wire, he is the priority add. However, Prosper has been benefiting as well. The Grizzlies have deployed a lot of small lineups as injuries piled up among their big men. Over his recent stretch as a starter, he’s giving you efficient scoring, great percentages, a few boards, and some defensive stats.

Yves Missi — C, Pelicans

Missi reminds of an old-school rim protector profile—rebounds and blocks with solid field goal percentage. Over the past couple of weeks, he’s been flirting with top-100 value, and with New Orleans pushing to stay competitive, his minutes aren’t going anywhere. If you need boards and blocks, this is one of the cleaner adds on the board, especially with a four-game week.

Bones Hyland — G, Wolves

Hyland’s production is undeniable. With Anthony Edwards sidelined, Hyland has stepped in and started cooking, scoring at least 17 points in four straight games. The problem is that the Wolves only play two games this week. If you’re chasing points and threes, Hyland has been getting the minutes.

Ryan Nembhard — G, Mavericks

With Brandon Williams still in concussion protocol and missing his 3rd straight game, Nembhard is seeing real minutes, even without starting. In 31 minutes against the Clippers, he produced 13 points, five rebounds, and nine assists. Nembhard is just considered a short-term add because he has been a bit inconsistent during his rookie campaign, but add him if you need some volatility.

Isiah Jackson — C, Clippers

Jackson is one of those low-minute, high-impact bigs that we either love or ignore. He’s not playing huge minutes with the Clippers, but he doesn’t need them. You’re getting around 10 points, a handful of boards, and about a block per night. It’s not league-winning upside, but it’s stability, and stability matters when everything else is volatile.

Kennedy Chandler/ Elijah Harkless — Guards, Jazz

A few silly season specials. The Utah situation is pure chaos—in a good way if you’re streaming. With multiple rotation players out, guys like Kennedy Chandler and Elijah Harkless are getting real run. Chandler just stepped back onto an NBA floor and immediately dropped 19 points with solid peripherals, which tells you the opportunity is there if he sticks. Harkless is a bit more volatile, bouncing in and out of the starting lineup, but the minutes have been strong, and the defensive stats are popping. Isiah Collier has been ruled out for Monday night, so both are in play for another high-volume minute night.
