We are now in the midst of the 2026 NFL season, so that means we continue to ride the bye week train. We get Kenneth Walker and Chuba Hubbard back for Week 6, and that’s a great thing. However, we also have to replace Jahmyr Gibbs, Chase Brown, Aaron Jones, and Ollie Gordon need to be replaced. There are also injuries to contend with; the Philadelphia Eagles are on their fourth-string running back, and there are questions and frustration all around. Now, let’s take a look at our Week 6 RB rankings for fantasy football.

Running Back Notes

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots

Stevenson was edging into number one running back territory over the past few weeks, but now it’s a little more formal. That’s because TreVeyon Henderson is now sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Patriots offense appears to be getting on track, and in each of the past two weeks, Stevenson has had 13 carries. Now, with less competition, he should hit that number, if not more this week. In facing the New York Jets, Stevenson gets a defense that’s ranks in the top-10 of fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. They are allowing an average of 118 rushing yards per game and also rank 26th in defensive rushing DVOA, with running backs scoring six touchdowns.

In each of the last two weeks, Stevenson has rushed for a touchdown. On the season, he’s averaged four yards per carry, it’s shaping up to be a strong performance for the New England running back.

Woody Marks, Houston Texans

With David Montgomery sidelined, the Houston backfield belongs to Marks. The matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars isn’t great, but Marks is going to have volume. That’s going to be the case not only in the run game, but also as a receiver out of the backfield. There’s a lot of PPR value out there. Last week, Marks caught four passes for 23 yards, and I’d expect CJ Stroud to look his way more often as a safety net.

After Montgomery went out, Marks carried the ball 15 times for 62 yards last week. He averaged a solid 4.1 yards per carry, and while it might not be an explosive performance, sometimes, slow and steady wins the race.

Emanuel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

It’s all about opportunity, and Wilson is doing a great job of taking advantage of his. Neither Jadarian Price or Zach Charbonnet are ready to take the field this week. George Holani is healthy, but he has failed to distinguish himself. That means the Seattle backfield essentially belongs to Wilson at this point.

He has touchdowns in back-to-back weeks. There’s a good chance he makes it three in Week 6. The Denver Broncos have allowed five rushing touchdowns this season. They have kept opposing running backs out of the end zone just once. Additionally, Denver is also allowing an average of 4.51 yards per carry this season, and that is the eighth worst in the NFL.

In two games, Wilson has 11 carries for 17 yards. However, in the other three games, he has 62 carries for 234 yards. Over the last two weeks, Wilson has also added five catches for 50 yards and another touchdown. He should be good for another 20 carries this week. I’m not sure it would be surprising if he got to 100 yards with a third straight touchdown.
