These are Fantasy EPL Draft players that have risen in our rankings! These are potential free agents on good form or established players that you should be looking to trade-in. Keep an eye on these players, and bring them into your Fantrax squad if you can!

Marcos Alonso

Position: Defender

Team: Chelsea

Ownership: 97%

Average Score Last 5 Games: 15.5 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: wat (A), CRY (H), mci (A), WHU (H), AVL (H)

What’s Changed?: Chelsea is absolutely flying right now, as is left back Alonso, who is on red hot form. Having missed the opening rounds of the season, Alonso has not looked back since regaining his place in the side; with two assists and a goal Alonso has become indispensable for manager Frank Lampard. With four consecutive wins for Chelsea in the Premier League and with excellent fixtures coming up (aside from Manchester City) we fully expect Alonso to continue racking up the Fantrax points. If you can somehow spin a potential trade offer that includes Alonso; take it!

Christian Pulisic

Position: Midfielder

Team: Chelsea

Ownership: 95%

Average Score Last 5 Games: 11.2 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: wat (A), CRY (H), mci (A), WHU (H), AVL (H)

What’s Changed?: Having been in and then out of the side, Pulisic will now almost certainly get a good run in the side after his hat-trick in Gameweek 10 against Burnley. Chap 2 actually tipped Pulisic before the start of Gameweek 10 on the Fantrax’s FPL Kickaround Podcast. Chap 2 was pretty confident that Pulisic would get the nod for the Burnley match because of the promise he’d shown in the previous two Gameweeks, the performances in the Champions League, and possibly more crucially; the injury to Ross Barkley. For a Draft EPL manager, Chelsea is a golden side. With their attacking outlook and the youthful stars playing that excellent carefree style; Pulisic is not only a guaranteed starter, but he is also a starter in an attacking side with great potential for excellent attacking returns!

Ayoze Perez

Position: Forward

Team: Leicester

Ownership: 76%

Average Score Last 5 Games: 15 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: cry (A), ARS (H), bha (A), EVE (H), WAT (H)

What’s Changed?: We don’t expect the 76% ownership of Perez to stay that low for very long after the hat-trick. Naturally, managers will be drawn to Perez; which plays into the hands of Perez owners nicely. If available on your waivers, we would recommend picking Perez up immediately; and we will come to the reason why in just a bit. Perez has been the subject of much Fantrax debate this season, with many managers getting in touch to ask what should be done about Perez? Leicester is playing some great football, and appear to have settled into a 4-1-4-1 with Perez taking up a position on the right-hand side of the midfield, with the license to cut back into the pitch with devastating effect. However, until Gameweek 10 (and let us just add that Southampton looks woeful) Perez’s stock was not so high; averaging 6.6 points per gameweek in the previous five.

So why the recommendation to pick Perez up? Quite simply, the emotional managers in your Draft EPL league will be desperate to get on this Leicester train at almost any price; but Perez doesn’t score particularly well in Fantrax being so reliant on goals. Remember what Totti was saying on the FPL Kickaround Pod a few weeks ago: treat your players as commodities, as their stock rises; cash in! Well this commodities stock is high after that hat-trick, now is the time to cash in!

Gameweek 11 Player Rankings: More Hot Players!

Fantasy EPL Forwards

Jamie Vardy (100%, Forward, Leicester) – On fire with goals both personally and the whole team! All aboard the Leicester train.
Tammy Abraham (100%, Forward, Chelsea) – Continues to perform… a FWD1 for the rest of the season
Anthony Martial (100%, Forward, Manchester United) – Back in the starting eleven, and bagged 18.5 points in GW10
Sebastian Haller (99%, Forward, West Ham) – Not goal dependent in the slightest, Haller is a top tier forward
Callum Hudson-Odoi (89%, Forward, Chelsea) – 45 points between GW8 and 10! CHO is extremely good
Adama Traore (74%, Forward, Wolves) – Continues in the Wolves starting eleven, and a decent third or fourth forward
Neal Maupay (43%, Forward, Brighton) – Two goals, Six key passes, and Five shots on target in the last three games. Maupay is finding some form!
Allan Saint-Maximin (33%, Forward, Newcastle) – Shockingly low ownership, ASM is putting in good performances without attacking returns

Fantasy EPL Midfielders

Kevin De Bruyne (100%, Midfielder, Manchester City) – The City man is the player to own this season
James Maddison (100%, Midfielder, Leicester) – Making this very good Leicester side tick
Youri Tielemans (100%, Forward, Leicester) – Not exactly under the radar, but not as fashionable as Maddison. Arguably better though
Emi Buendia (95%, Midfielder, Norwich) – Continues to shine in a poor Norwich side… just fantastic in Togga scoring!
Pascal Gross (93%, Midfielder, Brighton) – A short-term option, the German is playing very well at the moment
Harvey Barnes (61%, Midfielder, Leicester) – The young winger is on fire, and will surely remain in the side now
Leandro Trossard (58%, Midfielder, Brighton) – 10 points in 24 minutes on his return to the squad, Trossard looks set to shine now he’s returned from injury
John Fleck (18%, Midfielder, Sheffield United) – Fleck is so consistent. He’ll gain 8 or 9 points every week without fail
Onel Hernandez (2%, Midfielder, Norwich) – Back from injury, and about to displace early-season favorite Cantwell

Fantasy EPL Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold (100%, Defender, Liverpool) – Just incredible this season. A Top 5 overall player
Ricardo Pereira (100%, Defender, Leicester) – An elite defender this season, 5 key passes in Gameweek 9!
Enda Stevens / Jack O’Connell (77%/59%, Defender, Sheffield United) – The Blades are terrific at the back, and these two Chaps are the pick of their defenders. Basham is also a great pick-up
Diego Rico (73%, Defender, Bournemouth) – Continues to perform extremely well
Matt Targett (58%, Defender, Aston Villa) – The Villa full-back has been putting in great attacking performances. Keep him through the tough schedule
Kurt Zouma (41%, Defender, Chelsea) – Back to his best, scoring well and not clean sheet dependent
Jetro Willems (18%, Defender, Newcastle) – Under the radar, with a few good fixtures coming up
Christian Kabasele (10%, Defender, Watford) – Performing very well after returning to the side. Three double digit returns in a row

These are Fantasy EPL players that have fallen in our rankings. This may be due to poor form, they have been dropped from the best eleven, they have suffered an injury, or received a suspension. It’s time to consider dropping these players from your squads!

Yannick Vestergaard

Position: Defender

Team: Southampton

Ownership: 56%

Average Score Last 5 Games: -1 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: mci (A), EVE (H), ars (A), WAT (H), NOR (H)

What’s Changed?: This must be somewhat unsurprising? To be perfectly honest, we could have suggested any of the Southampton defenders, but it is unlikely you will have any, other than Vestergaard when looking at the ownership statistics. For a start, it isn’t just the 0-9 home defeat to Southampton that should warn off owners of Vestergaard as to whether they should be holding onto him; he averages -1 point per game over the last five gameweeks. Dreadful. Southampton look a team destined for relegation having flirted with it for the past couple of seasons. For now, Draft EPL managers shouldn’t entertain the idea of holding a Southampton defender. Manchester City are up next for Vestergaard; oh dear.

Recommendation: Drop with immediate effect.

Christian Eriksen

Position: Midfielder

Team: Tottenham Hotspur

Ownership: 99%

Average Score Last 5 Games: 3.3 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: eve (A), SHU (H), whu (A), BOU (H), mun (A)

What’s Changed?: It would be easy to pick out another Southampton player here, or even a Norwich City player like Todd Cantwell; particularly given that Onel Hernandez a goal-scoring return from injury in Gameweek 10. On the subject of Onel Hernandez, check out the Waiver Wire and Trade Targets article written by @draftgenie who highlights Hernandez as a potential pick up among others!

So as we were saying, whilst the likes of Cantwell et al are cold, we want to focus more on a big name whose performances and future have us worried; Eriksen. The Tottenham play-maker, so often Mr. Consistent for Spurs has failed to string together a genuine run of good form this season, dipping in and out of games and averaging a miserly 6.11 points per Gameweek. As we’ve touched upon in the past, Fantrax winning sides need regular points scorers, and whilst it will be tough to look at a first / second-round draft pick and think I need to get rid unfortunately this is the reality Eriksen owners are facing. The final nail in the coffin (excuse the Halloween pun) will be that Eriksen looks almost certain to leave Spurs in January as the club will undoubtedly want to cash in on a prized asset.

Recommendation: We recommend trying to trade Eriksen out of your squad with someone who is still willing to gamble that Eriksen might go on a consistent run of form and not leave the club in January. Depending on who is available, we’d set our sites on a Midfielder 3 (such as Harvey Barnes) as your replacement.

Teemu Pukki

Position: Forward

Team: Norwich City

Ownership: 98%

Average Score Last 5 Games: 3.6 PPG

Next 5 Fixtures: bha (A), WAT (H), eve (A), ARS (H), sou (A)

What’s Changed?: Early season Fantrax bolter Pukki, who stole the show in the opening Gameweeks, has seen both his form and Fantrax stock fall by the wayside in recent weeks. Having starting the season with six goals and two assists from the opening five Gameweeks, Pukki has picked up no attacking returns from the last five games. There is a growing concern in the Draft Community that Pukki is going to completely fizzle out, with many Fantrax managers having already jumped ship and traded the Canaries striker out of their squads. With this sorry assessment considered, there are two thing that you cannot deny Pukki; Norwich create chances, and Pukki is still finding himself with opportunities to score. In fact Pukki had a golden opportunity in the Gamweek 10 fixture, which would suggest he can regain his form. The more astute Championship followers (or Norwich City fans) will also recall Pukki went on a no goal-scoring run last season but still finished on 29 league goals. All hope is not lost yet.

Recommendation: Pukki’s stock is at such a level now where we would question the value you will receive in a trade offer. So with this in mind we’d explore the options available to push ahead for a trade, however, realistically we’d expect ‘hardball’ offers, so unless you receive an offer worth your while then sticking and hoping for a return to form is your best option chaps!

Gameweek 11 Player Rankings: More Cold Players!

Fantasy EPL Forwards

Ashley Barnes (87%, Forward, Burnley) – Scoring very poorly, but stick with him for now
Gerard Deulofeu (82%, Forward, Watford) – Watford simply can’t score goals, and Deulofeu’s ghost points haven’t been great. Try and trade him out
Joelinton (65%, Forward, Newcastle) – He starts, but he’s very goal dependent. Move on to someone better if you can
Moise Kean (53%, Forward, Everton) – Richarlison started up front in Gameweek 9 and 10… definitely time to drop Kean now
Glenn Murray (25%, Forward, Brighton) – Maupay and Connolly will keep him out of the side for the foreseeable future. Drop him
Che Adams (17%, Forward, Southampton) – A decent start to the season scoring ok points without attacking returns, but Ings has now taken over as first choice. Drop him
Andre Gray (13%, Forward, Watford) – Not getting a look in at the moment. Drop him

Fantasy EPL Midfielders

Tanguy Ndombele (95%, Midfielder, Tottenham) – His minutes are declining, be careful with this one. Hold for now, but we’re concerned at the moment
Dani Ceballos (86%, Midfielder, Arsenal) – Not performing well, try and trade him out
Todd Cantwell (82%, Midfielder, Norwich) – His early-season form is disappearing, and Hernandez is now back on the scene
Oleksandr Zinchenko (71%, Midfielder, Manchester City) – Time to drop him, Mendy is proving his fitness. Minutes will be limited
Ruben Neves (69%, Midfielder, Wolves) – Scoring extremely poorly, yet has 69% ownership. Drop him
Harry Wilson (58%, Midfielder, Bournemouth) – Very goal dependent, and not guaranteed to play – has to be dropped now
Mesut Ozil (52%, Midfielder, Arsenal) – Just drop him right now
Roberto Pereyra (48%, Midfielder, Watford) – Scoring very poorly, and not well suited to Togga scoring. Drop him
Miguel Almiron (45%, Midfielder, Newcastle) – Drop him. Not performing well
Sofiane Boufal (18%, Midfielder, Southampton) – Lost his place in the side. Drop him

Fantasy EPL Defenders

Harry Maguire (98%, Defender, Manchester United) – The big center back has averaged 4.4 points for the last five games… keep him, but he’s not performing well
Kyle Walker (90%, Defender, Manchester City) – Lost his place in the side having struggled with indifferent form
Seamus Coleman (82%, Defender, Everton) – As we expected, Sidibe kept his place in the side for GW10. You will have to drop Coleman if he continues to warm the bench
Toby Alderweireld (76%, Defender, Tottenham) – Drop him. Scoring poorly and Tottenham have a leaky defense
Jeffrey Schlupp (51%, Defender, Crystal Palace) – The Ghanaian’s productivity is declining, he was hooked before the hour in Gameweek 9, and benched for Gameweek 10. Drop him
