Michael Florio’s Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings for PPR, Half PPR, and Standard

With six teams on bye and the playoffs coming fast, Michael Florio’s Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings are here to help with the final push.

If we were in a football movie, this is where I would tell you to pull up a chair as I deliver a big motivational speech. Look, it is Week 10 and you do not need to be told that the stakes are getting higher. Some teams are fighting for a bye or seeding, while some are playing to stay in the race and even worse, some are playing just to be alive in Week 11! I wrote about it last week in-depth, but here is the quicker version. Do not get complacent. If you are sitting with six or more wins, you should be looking to add to your roster for the fantasy playoffs. There are six teams on bye this week with some very good players simply sitting on fantasy benches. It might as well be your bench right! Find an owner who is desperate for a win this week and try to acquire one of their players on a bye for 80 cents on the dollar. And if you are sitting with 4 wins or fewer, you cannot just go down with the ship. If you have multiple players on bye, try to trade them now. Target players that have already had their bye and ones who have favorable schedules moving forward!

Now, if you are in the first group discussed above, you should be trying to trade for players with favorable fantasy playoffs (Wk 14-16) schedules. Again, the next three weeks of the regular season are important, but if you feel confident your team is in a position to make the playoffs, the three weeks that follow are much more significant.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Notes

  • T.Y. Hilton is a prime trade candidate if you are one of those teams comfortably in the playoffs. Hilton is out another 2-3 weeks, which is scary. But, that puts him on schedule to be back for the fantasy playoffs. He has the most favorable fantasy playoff schedule for WRs and if the player who has Hilton is fighting for their playoff life, they cannot afford to wait.
  • Some other players with favorable fantasy playoff schedule: Ryan Tannehill, Baker Mayfield, Nick Foles, Dalvin Cook, James White/Sony Michel, Phillip Lindsay/Royce Freeman, Titans WRs, DeVante Parker, DJ Chark Jr/Dede Westbrook, Jacob Hollister, T.J. Hockenson, Darren Fells.
  • Players with unfavorable fantasy playoff schedule: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Drew Brees, Devin Singletary/Frank Gore, Ty Johnson, Marlon Mack, Chiefs WRs, Allen Robinson, Julian Edelman/Mohamed Sanu, Austin Hooper, Mike Gesicki, Mark Andrews.
  • It is hard to not hear Kareem Hunt’s name mentioned on anything fantasy related this week. The former top RB is back from suspension and eligible to return this week. How excited are some people for Hunt? Some people drafted him and held onto him for nine weeks just to maybe start him. If you have followed me, you know I think this a lot. When a player is returning and in the news a bunch, hype builds, which is often the key time to flip them. I would be looking to sell Hunt. On the opposite side of things, Nick Chubb’s production hasn’t been great as of late (but he’s seen 20 touches in all but one game), plus owners are likely worried by Hunt’s return. Try to acquire him on the cheap if you can!
  • Jameis Winston is very much in play this week against the Cardinals who have allowed the most fantasy PPG to QBs this season (25.15).
  • Christian Kirk is a player I like a bunch this week. First, the Cards face the Bucs who have allowed the most fantasy PPG to WRs this season (45.48). They also have allowed the second-most fantasy PPG to slot receivers (18.70). Still not sold? Kyler Murray throws to the slot on 42 percent of his throws, the highest mark in the NFL.
  • David Montgomery gets the Lions and no team has allowed more fantasy points to RBs than the Lions. Add in that he is seeing about 25 touches per game the last two weeks and he becomes a must-start option.
  • Jamison Crowder is the top target for Sam Darnold and the Jets. This week he gets the Giants, who have allowed the third-most fantasy PPG to WRs (41.63) as well as six touchdowns to slot receivers. Get him into your lineup this week.
  • The Seahawks went out and acquired Josh Gordon, who is expected to debut Monday. For the Seahawks, he is a natural fit on the right side of the offense, with Tyler Lockett in the slot and DK Metcalf on the left side. Jacob Hollister will continue to serve as the new Will Dissly. For fantasy? I will trust Tyler Lockett this week. I like Metcalf, Gordon and Hollister moving forward, but I’d rather leave them on my bench and see the workload shakeup, especially against the 49ers.
