The final stretch of the season is upon us. It is time to kick it into gear, do heavy research on the standings and find where you can gain points in those standings. You are wrong if you think it is too late to make a move in the standings. There is still plenty of time for you to make a move, so don’t lose hope. These hitter rankings are here to help you find the optional hitters for your redraft leagues down the stretch of the season.

Hitter Rankings Thoughts
Michael Harris II, OF, Atlanta Braves
Michael Harris II has taken the league by storm, but it seems like he is still being underappreciated for what he is actually doing. Harris has 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases in just 248 plate appearances. The power and speed combo is legit. He is slashing .294/.331/.502, and I forgot to mention he is only 21 years old. If you extrapolate Harris’s counting stats to 600 plate appearances, you would get 27 home runs, 29 stolen bases, 99 runs, and 87 RBI. Seems like a near-first-round caliber player.
Teoscar Hernandez, OF, Toronto Blue Jays
If you look on the surface, it is probably easy to be a bit underwhelmed with Teoscar Hernandez’s season. Sixteen home runs and six stolen bases are fine, and a .271/.322/.489 slash will get the job done. But, since July 1, Teoscar has a .285 batting average with nine home runs and three stolen bases in just 142 plate appearances. He is performing much better than most people realize. Teoscar is someone you should try and trade for if your league still has trades open.

Where is Luis Arraez…
No Joey Votto?
Mountcastle?
Thanks – why the apparent confidence in a Christian Walker comeback? The Statcast numbers don’t seem to suggest there’s anything extra under the hood. Conversely, the underlying stats generally support Longoria’s bounceback last season, do you not trust the skills or is it more of an age/injury/playing time issue?
No love for Julio Rodriguez?
I dont think we see him up until later in the season.
You’ve got Jung at 134 and 177
Try refreshing. I fixed that yesterday.
Is this for 5×5 roto, points, obp, or other?
Standard 5×5 Roto
What happened to drop Ian Happ from 85th in your original Top 100 all the way down to 123 now, as I’m not aware of any new evidence since then, statistical or otherwise?
How do you figure Adell’s season will go? I didn’t see him on here (unless I missed him). He seemed to make a huge gain in CT% in September and offered about a 97% max velo during each of his cups of coffee (usually indicative of more goodness to come), but obviously there’s the prior lack of production.
No Jeimer?
I play in a H2H 12 team yahoo league, Mookie had 2b/of last season. Do you think Dodgers play him there more to keep healthy? Thanks
It depends on the moves they make in the offseason. If they keep Muncy at 1B, Mookie could get some reps at 2B.
AJ Pollock is listed twice.
Thanks for catching that. It is updated!
Mookie is now on the Red Sox?
Isn’t Yordan a little low? Is that just due to injury concerns?
Yeah, the low ranking is solely based on injury concerns. After seeing him running on a treadmill I feel a little better and can bump him up. I really want to see him in-game action in the spring before paying up for him in 2021.
Randy Aroz in SD?!? Are we predicting a trade?!? Lol
Haha thanks for catching that. I need to go in and fix that.
Huh, no Lux? I wouldn’t think he’d still be a backup in 2021 again…what’s his status and where is his ranking?
I would hope that he gets an everyday role, but I also thought that this year. Hes in the 110-120 range of hitters for me, with a chance to move up a lot with regular playing time. I think his ADP will be late enough where its worth the upside to pick him.
Over the last two seasons combined (2019-2020), I have a 140 wRC+, 11th-best in the majors, with 31 HRs and a .393 OBP. But I never get put on “100 Best Hitters” lists. Who am I?
Gotta be Mark Canha right? If thats the case, he is a notable omission when I was going back through and looking. I do need to add him in. But like you said, he’s undervalued and will be a great value in drafts again this year.
