Gameweek 35 Waiver Wire Targets
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 35 Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% ownership or below on Fantrax. These players will also have a favorable run of fixtures upcoming, so they could perform very well over the upcoming period!
Nathan Redmond
Position: Midfielder
Team: Southampton
Ownership: 40%
Next Fixture: Liverpool (Away) + Crystal Palace (Home)
Prospects: Redmond has been one of the most inconsistent fantasy players this season, making it hard to predict when he will do well. Southampton have a double gameweek coming up where Redmond should at least see 120 minutes of playtime. Saints are struggling for goals with the injury to Ings, but on his day Redmond can get you 20+ points. I like Redmond as a MID2 over the double gameweek, and would still probably start him even if he was on the bench in the first game.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 50% of my remaining FAB on Redmond.
Allan
Position: Midfielder
Team: Everton
Ownership: 23%
Next Fixture: West Ham (Away) + Aston Villa (Away)
Prospects: Allan is a player who is probably only useful during double gameweeks. He usually hovers around 5-7 points without a return or getting a yellow card, making him a safe bet for a solid 10 points this upcoming gameweek. If you are struggling for a MID5, I would recommend punting on Allan and hoping he gets a rare return in one of these matchups. After the double gameweek, Allan is not a fantasy player worth rostering, but his potential 12 points this coming gameweek, could win you your matchup
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim or about 10% of my FAB on Allan.
Dan Burn
Position: Defender
Team: Brighton
Ownership: 20%
Next Fixture: Wolves (Away)
Prospects: Burn has been recommended by constant analysts over the last few weeks, so now it is my turn! Burn finished with an incredible 24 points in the win vs. Leeds, and when he starts has DEF1 potential. The next two matchups are very favourable for Burn, and should be considered a must start especially against Wolves. Wolves have struggled to score goals this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Burn get another 20+ score! There is a chance Moder comes in, but after his performance against Leeds, it would be very harsh to see Burn benched. I would recommend starting Burn over many waiver wire defenders who have a double gameweek such as Mings, Keane, Holgate, and Lindelof.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 40% of my remaining FAB on Burn.
Alex McCarthy
Position: Goalkeeper
Team: Southampton
Ownership: 15%
Next Fixture: Liverpool (Away) + Crystal Palace (Home)
Prospects: This may be the first time I have ever recommended a goalie in my article, but I consider McCarthy almost a must have for this gameweek. His confidence is coming back after an incredible performance against Leicester despite going down to 10 men. He also has the potential for two clean sheets and 10+ saves in this double gameweek. Liverpool aren’t scoring as many goals as they used to, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see McCarthy walk away from that game with at least 5-8 points. A clean sheet vs. Crystal Palace is very doable as well on top of a few tame Benteke efforts saved! McCarthy is probably the best goalie available on your waiver wire for the double gameweek, and these are weeks where goalies can actually win you your matchup!
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 30% of my remaining FAB on McCarthy.
