Week 3 Fantasy Hockey Goalie Streams
Antti Raanta (25%)
Frederick Andersen (99%) is off to a wildly hot start in his new digs in Carolina with four wins in four games. The Hurricanes have a four-game homestand this week with a back-to-back on Thursday/Friday in Boston and Chicago. This will be a good spot for Andersen to get some well-deserved rest. You can expect Raanta to play in one of those games and Carolina looks like a good bet every night right now.
Daniel Vladar (22%)
The Calgary Flames begin the week on the road versus the New York Rangers on Monday and the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. It’s likely that Vladar gets one of these starts and he’s available in about four out of five leagues.
Jonathan Quick (16%)
It would appear that Cal Petersen (82%) has inherited the starting job in Los Angeles, but don’t count out Quick just yet. The Kings play four games this week and so far Quick has played every other game. The team plays in St. Louis on Monday followed by three games at home against the Jets on Wednesday and the Canadiens and Sabres on Saturday/Sunday. It’s possible Quick plays in St. Louis and Montreal if the pattern continues. If not, he will at least get one of the weekend games and he’s widely available as a streaming option.
Brian Elliott (14%)
As the undisputed best NHL goalie, Andrei Vasilevskiy (100%) has started in all five of the Tampa Bay Lightning games this season. To start the week though, the Lightning have a back-to-back on the road on Monday/Tuesday in Buffalo and Pittsburgh. It’s probable that Elliott gets in a game here. The defending Stanley Cup Champions have looked a bit sluggish after a summer of celebrating. However, there are definitely worse bets you could make if you need a goalie start early this week. Elliot is available in all but the shallowest of leagues.
