Week 11 Fantasy Football FAAB Guide
$1,000 is a common budget size for season-long leagues and that is the template for my FAAB bid percentages. The Week 11 Fantasy Football FAAB Guide attempts to cover all styles of fantasy scoring, but I write this article from a redraft and PPR point of view. All roster percentages for this week come from Fantrax and Yahoo fantasy football leagues.

- Superman returns! Cam Newton proved that patience truly pays off. When he was cut by New England prior to the start of the season, I thought he might be toast. Turns out he trusted in Sam Darnold being trash and bided his time in anticipation of Carolina’s call. As far as his fantasy potential, he has massively underutilized wideouts on a team battling for a playoff spot. If you drafted a QB late and need a replacement, Cam will do just fine. His next three games against WAS, MIA, and ATL are very appealing if you’re in the playoff hunt.

- I refuse to be labeled as a Tua Tagovailoa mark who won’t listen to reason. However, I do believe his best is yet to come in 2021. The way he entered the Dolphins victory over the Ravens has been overly dramatized. His upcoming schedule deserves more attention as he faces the Jets twice over the next five weeks. We’re all in fantasy playoff mode now and if you need a QB you can put your faith in Tua.
- In real life, Mac Jones is a competent QB leading the Patriots to a winning record while blossoming before our eyes. In fantasy though, he hasn’t been very useful. Even in the win over the Browns 45-7, Jones threw for less than 200 yards despite throwing for 3 TDs. After Atlanta on Thursday, the Patriots are facing TEN, IND, and BUF twice through Week 16. I’d rather have almost any other QB on this list for fantasy.

- If you’re a regular reader of this article let me first thank you for your time and energy. Secondly, last week I said Week 10 was the time to add Rhamondre Stevenson on the cheap before he likely became more pricey. Welp, that time has come. The good news for Stevenson is he might get to start again as Damien Harris might not be cleared from a concussion for the Thursday match-up in Atlanta. Just remember when you’re spending your FAAB bucks that Harris is the man in this backfield when healthy. Don’t go hog wild on Stevenson.

- Houston is coming off their bye (which is the only way to assure they can’t lose HARDY HAR HAR) as they stroll into Nashville. Phillip Lindsay is the guy you want to roster in their backfield. David Johnson is nothing more than a third-down back now. He is yet to have double-digit carries in a game, but I see that streak ending on Sunday. If you’re desperate for touches at RB, go take a flier on Lindsay.
- Atlanta RB/WR Cordarrelle Patterson will likely miss Thursday’s game and possibly a few more. Wayne Gallman achieved cult-like garbage time status with 55 yards rushing on 15 carries while Mike Davis only garnered 4. Gallman is certainly worth picking up for the opportunity alone, but the same goes for him as it did for Stevenson. Don’t blow your wad on a guy who is likely a one-hit-wonder at best.
- Baltimore’s RB situation likely welcomes Latavius Murray back for Chicago. Devonta Freeman has been on the field for 58% of the snaps in each of the last two weeks. Seems intentional, right? Freeman is at least a flex play this week. Don’t worry about Murray.

Reference Points
- How about Jamal Agnew? He provides positive outcomes from multiple positions. His 66-yard TD run only increases his fantasy value. Laviska Shenault Jr. is a lost cause even though he’s matching Agnew with similar snap totals. Agnew is Urban’s man and Meyer will shove him down our throats whether we like it or not. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Put a claim in on him if you need to win now.

- Rams WR Van Jefferson had all the chances in the world to accrue fantasy points in Monday night’s shellacking by the 49ers. Odell Beckham Jr. caught two balls on three targets while Jefferson had seven. Van should’ve had at least one TD that he dropped. The Rams were truly horrid against the 49ers and their bye comes at an ideal time. The Ram’s depth is laughable so Jefferson will get plenty of chances still.
- The Saints receivers are widely available in Yahoo leagues. The reason has to be the public’s lack of trust in Trevor Siemian. Marquez Callaway scored a TD Sunday for the second straight week, but his yardage total hasn’t eclipsed 38 yards since Week 5. Tre’Quan Smith also scored on Sunday on seven targets. I don’t love Siemian either, but TDs are TDs no matter what type of league you play in.
- My Detroit Lions played in one of the most hilarious games in recent memory when they tied the Steelers on Sunday. Amon-Ra St. Brown had 4 grabs for 61 yards on six targets. Jared Goff is a train wreck, so I don’t blame you if you want to ignore St. Brown. The Lions will continue to have to throw a lot as they will be trailing in most of their upcoming games.

- Jaguar TE Dan Arnold has had at least 4 receptions and at least 60 yards receiving in his last three games. He’s only rostered in 26% of Yahoo leagues. You probably played a TE over the last three weeks that doesn’t come close to that consistency. Go spend some FAAB!
- Sure, it’s awesome that Ty Conklin scored 2 TDs in Los Angeles. Can you expect that regularly? No. Are you desperate for a TE? Yes.

- Seahawk Gerald Everett racked up 8 receptions on eight targets in the Packers shut out of Seattle 17-0. Russell Wilson returned from his injury absence and played horrendously. Wilson relied too much on his TE because he couldn’t get the ball downfield like he normally prefers to do. Consider this outing from Everett an aberration and look elsewhere for the ever allusive 2021 TE production.
The Leftovers
- Week 10 still leaves us with more questions to ponder. Will Cam Newton become a top-12 fantasy QB ROS? What will it take to get Denver to unlock the potential of their two special receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy? Will Kareem Hunt return this coming Sunday for a tasty match-up with Detroit?
- The following players with uncertain roles are all worth mentioning, just in smaller doses. The next three games for Jamison Crowder are MIA, @HOU, and PHI. Bucs WR Tyler Johnson missed an excellent opportunity Sunday to cash in on some fantasy points with Antonio Brown out of the lineup. Le’Veon Bell is in a pattern of doing nothing one week and then scoring a TD the following week. That’s not useful for anybody. John Bates is a rookie TE for Washington that took over for the injured Ricky Seals-Jones who replaced the injured Logan Thomas. Whoever is playing TE for Washington is worth your time because Taylor Heinicke loves throwing to them. Nelson Agholor has been playing the second-most snaps of any WR on New England all season long. The law of averages says Agholor should find the level sooner than later.
