We continue our journey through the American League West with our Seattle Mariners Top Prospects for dynasty leagues. Over the last half-decade or so, the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel has gotten a tad brighter for Mariners fans, and a big reason for that has been this organization’s player development.
Not only has Seattle built one of the most exciting farm systems in baseball, but they’re able to maintain that even after trading away some of their prospect talent for Major League pieces. You’d think this would be a bottom-10 system after some of these moves but that’s far from the case. This just goes to show how important player development can be to a Major League team’s success, especially when they don’t have a massive payroll to work with. Jerry Dipoto has been a master of the trade lately and has this Seattle organization on the brink of being a contender for a long time. Watch out Houston, Seattle is charging fast.
