AAF Week Five Fantasy Football Rankings

AAF Week Four resulted in highs and lows for several teams. The Atlanta Legends finally made the switch to Aaron Murray and defeated the Arizona Hotshots. Birmingham struggled to find the endzone and fell short on an “onside kick” attempt in the final minutes to suffer their first loss to San Antonio. The Express defeated the Fleet after Fleet QB Phillip Nelson left the game early due to a non-throwing shoulder injury. Lastly, the Apollos remain undefeated with a win over the Josh Woodrum led Salt Lake Stallions.

Week 5 Rankings

Quarterbacks

Aaron Murray skyrockets up the ranks after debuting with 200+ through the air and a fair amount on the ground. His one slip up was a hilarious 2-Point Conversion attempt where he threw two forward passes causing everyone, including the official, to laugh after the play. Luis Perez (BIR) continues to struggle to score with Trent Richardson (BIR) carrying the load in the red zone and Logan Woodside (SA) has struggled to throw the ball to his own team in recent weeks.

  1. Garrett Gilbert, Orlando Apollos
  2. John Wolford, Arizona Hotshots
  3. Josh Woodrum, Salt Lake Stallions
  4. Aaron Murray, Atlanta Legends
  5. Phillip Nelson, San Diego Fleet ***

  10. Mike Bercovici, San Diego Fleet

Running Backs

The AAF has teams with decided and undecided backfields. Birmingham, Arizona, and Memphis all have their guys in Trent Richardson, Jhurrell Pressley, and Zac Stacy while Atlanta and Orlando remain a mystery. Atlanta seems to like Akrum Wadley when he’s healthy but when he’s gone it causes issues as to who is the guy. Orlando remains undecided as De’Veon Smith and D’Earnest Johnson trade weeks as the premier player.

Wide Receivers

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Aaron Murray came in and seems to favor Malachi Jones over Seantavius Jones, Phillip Nelson favors Nelson Spruce over Brian Brown, and Logan Woodside isn’t decided on who the number two receiver is for the Commanders.
