Fantasy EPL: Five Players on the Rise

The World Cup qualifiers are back. Therefore, I'll take this opportunity to look at some players whose fantasy values have risen since the season began.Fabian Delph (Manchester City) - Delph has been an outcast in City’s team for so long that many have wondered why is he still playing for them. A promising career going to waste. Now, Pep has found a way to use the utility player. Although Danilo was expected to take over Mendy’s left back spot in the lineup, Delph is the one who has shined in the role both times. Since…

NHL Prospect Report: Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay Lightning Hello, it is time again to look at each NHL team’s prospect situation and assessing each prospect’s projected fantasy value. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Tampa Bay Lightning. With all due respect to turnover leagues, I will be focusing solely on keeper and dynasty leagues, because prospects have minimal value in re-draft leagues. Most fantasy leagues vary in structure, so for the purpose of this exercise, I will be referring to leagues that include a main roster and a prospect roster, each with…

Fantasy Football: Week 5 Rankings

Prepare yourself for the bye week. The Falcons, Broncos, Saints, and Redskins are off this week, and with a quarter of the season already done, this is where potential playoff berths become reality. With four of the NFL's top offenses resting, you'll likely be missing a key player or two. The waiver wire is your pal, but so are this week's rankings. There's plenty of favorable match ups to go around (Vikings/Bears, Jets/Browns, anyone?) and with a few more injuries on the board, expect plenty of upsets. Here's everthing you…

Fantasy Hockey: Five Players to Watch

At the start of every season, some rookies are given nine games to prove themselves at the NHL level. If a rookie goes over the 10-game limit, the team burns a year on their entry-level contract. Usually, teams wait as long as they can to make sure rookies are ready, and it also helps out their cap situation. Last season, Zach Werenski, Dylan Strome and Jesse Puuljuarvi all had a nine-game tryout. Puuljujarvi and Strome didn’t work out, but Werenski did and earned a Calder nomination. Nico Hischier, Nolan Patrick, Clayton…

Five Fantasy Busts for the 2017-2018 Season

This week we’ll take a look at some potential fantasy busts in the upcoming NBA season. Some of these guys are still worth drafting, but won’t meet the expectations that have been set for them. Generally speaking, I’d avoid taking these guys unless they really plummet on draft day. Whether it’s because of injuries, a new role on a new team, or guys being taken on name recognition, there’s plenty of reason to avoid all five of these guys. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on Twitter @JonSauber. The First Fantasy…

Fantasy Football: Week 4 Wrap-Up

Finally, some normality. The guys that are supposed to be good at this football thing were actually good at it this week. Le'Veon Bell lashed the Ravens, the Broncos' defense stomped some mudholes, and Todd Gurley just kept right on doing his thing. That's how Week 4 is supposed to be, and after so many tight and exciting games, there's plenty to recap. Here's everything you need to know: Thumbs UpIt's nice of Bilal Powell to finally show up. Would you believe the Jets are 2-2? Most of this is thanks to Powell's…

Fantasy Football: Week 4 Wide Receiver Matchup Report

We’re back with our wide receiver matchups this week after a subpar week last week. That’s fantasy football, though. Sometimes you make the decisions with the best thought process behind it, but it still doesn’t go your way. This week, we revisit a few familiar names and secondaries. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on Twitter @JonSauber. Favorable Matchups Sammy Watkins @ Dallas CowboysAfter a fantastic performance against the 49ers last week, Sammy Watkins is on track to do it again this Sunday. Last…

Fantasy EPL: Week 6 Review / Week 7 Preview

WEEK 6: Fantasy EPL REVIEW This was a weekend in which all top six teams all won. Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal cruised to victories. City is simply destroying opponents at the moment. Sane, Sterling and Aguero were the ones who profited the most this time around. Chelsea is not less impressive, with Morata recording his first EPL hat-trick and proving to be everything Conte wanted and more. Another newcomer, Alexandre Lacazette, led Arsenal with two goals, which took care of WBA on Monday. The Spurs dominated…

Fantasy Football: Week 4 Rankings

Week 4 Back in January, I viewed Week 4 as the Milhouse section of the schedule. It seemed like a dud, with very few upset chances and 16 very predictable outcomes. After last weekend, though, *insert fart noise* who even knows anymore. To wrap up September, here are some more weekly rankings. As always, these have your standard PPR league formats in mind.Want more Fantasy Football news and advice? NHL Prospect Report: Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia Flyers From now until the start of next season, I’ll be looking at each NHL team’s prospect situation and assessing each prospect’s projected fantasy value. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Flyers. With all due respect to turnover leagues, I will be focusing solely on keeper and dynasty leagues, because prospects have minimal value in re-draft leagues.
