The 2023 Quarterback Pool

The NFL turned into a passing league a long time ago, but we’re in a new age now where more and more quarterbacks are earning points with their arms and their legs. The Top-10 quarterback rankings is full of rifle-armed passers who are also ready to tuck the ball and run when it’s called for. Some like veterans Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes deliver big numbers through the air and chip in on the ground when necessary. Others like Jalen Hurts and Josh Fields have more modest passing yardage but earn many of their points on the ground.

This surge in running quarterbacks has created both higher ceilings and higher floors in any given week, and it’s also reduced the value of more traditional passing QBs. Some like Joe Burrow are still solid fantasy quarterbacks, but more and more, fantasy managers are focused on mobile passers.
