DFS College Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet: Week 3

Ryan Cobbett and the Gridiron Scholar provide a weekly DFS College Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet to assist managers with building DFS lineups and identify value among CFB Prize Picks.

There’s no such thing as too much football! 2022 is the perfect time to add the college game to your fantasy football repertoire. Whether you want to create your own league or join an existing league, the Fantrax College Football Commissioner is the place to go!

CFB Sleepers on FanDuel: Week 3

CFB Day Slate (Cobbett)

QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss, $8,800

Georgia Tech is an inferior opponent. If D.J Uiagalelei can do well against the Yellow Jackets, so can Jaxson Dart. He has been efficient in both of his games this season, and as he gets another start under his belt, I expect more production from him with all the talented teammates.

RB Eric Gray, Oklahoma, $6,800

This is highway robbery!!! Only $6,800 for Gray? He has yet to record a touchdown, but if he gets his expected action and can find the endzone this weekend, this is a play that could win a tournament.

RB Shaun Shivers, Indiana, $8,400

Start any offensive playmakers that go against the Hilltoppers’ defense. Shivers is a workhorse. He averages 17 carries a game and has scored in each of his first two games. Expect him to post a very similar performance like last weekend’s 155-yard performance.

WR Daewood Davis, WKU, $7,900

Daewood Davis can ball. Indiana has a very poor defense. Expect Western Kentucky to score and expect Davis to be involved. He has averaged five receptions for 101 yards and 16.6 FPPG across his first two games this year.

CFB Night Slate (Cobbett)

QB Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland, $10,600

The good thing for Taulia is SMU is not a cupcake performance and the Maryland signal caller will have to be on his A game. With him at the top of his powers, expect a big game from the QB with a lot of points. He has too many weapons, and if he can control the interceptions, he will constantly post at least 25 FPPG.

RB Tre Siggers, SMU, $7,600

Maryland’s defense has allowed over 100 rushing YPG, and they have yet to see a decent opponent. With Trey Siggers in the Mustangs’ backfield, I expect him to crack that 100-yard threshold, and if he adds a score or two, he will be an absolute steal.

WR Caleb Ducking, Miss State, $8,200

Ducking has scored at least once in both games this season. He is also getting a decent amount of work as he is averaging five receptions a game. LSU does have a solid secondary and ranks fourth in passing yards allowed in the SEC. Will Rogers is one of the best quarterbacks in the nation and expect him to find Ducking in this one.

WR Jerand Bradley, Texas Tech, $6,700

Bradley leads the team in receptions, five more than second place, receiving yards, and is tied for team lead on receiving touchdowns. Though he did not get a score against Houston, he still saw steady production. North Carolina State’s defense is one of the best units in the nation, but Ahlers was able to find success for ECU in Week 1. I think Donovan Smith will find an open Bradley a few times in this one.

On the main slate, there is a ton of value and DFS players would be wise to select two top-flight receivers with an abundance of underpriced running backs available. I am starting all cash game lineups with Zach Evans, Mississippi and Zach Charbonnet, UCLA.

In the evening, I could not believe the salary of Bijan Robinson, and he might be owned on 80% of rosters in cash games. I do not care…Robinson is the core of my fantastic four selections. I am double-dipping into the UTSA-Texas game and placing quarterback Frank Harris into my lineups.
