Gameweek 12 Waiver Wire Targets
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 12 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.
Mohammed Salisu
Position: Defender
Team: Southampton
Rostered: 11%
Next Fixture: Bournemouth (Away)
Prospects: The Southampton is a personal favorite of mine and it is only partly because of his potential to pull an extreme ghost point performance out of thin air. Last year it was against City, this year it was 13.25 against West Ham with a goal conceded. His partner in crime, Bella Kotchap came off with a knock and Caleta-Car was singled out for criticism after the game, so it is safe to say that Salisu’s spot is safe and he is the “alpha” in any potential CB partnership. With Bournemouth and Palace featuring in the teams against column in the next 3, Salisu could turn out to be more than a one-week punt.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Adam Lallana
Position: Midfielder
Team: Brighton
Rostered: 4%
Next Fixture: Nottingham Forest (Home)
Prospects: It is very rare that we get a confirmation of a starter from a manager, and even rarer that it is against last placed “punching bags” Forest. Lallana is projected to score a very decent 8.7 by @DraftLad on The Draft Society Projections. How he slots into the team is still a big question mark, but start he will and he is one of the top punts for this mid-week set of fixtures.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0 FAB to get him.
Deniz Undav
Position: Forward
Team: Brighton
Ownership: 6%
Next Fixture: Nottingham Forest (Home)
Prospects: He has been featured many a time this season in this column as I was trying to will his first EPL start into existence. After the toothless display against Brentford on Friday, changes are needed and Undav might have his best chance of starting a game yet. Easy drop if he doesn’t start, upside streamer if he does.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0 FAB to get him.
