Fantasy Basketball Fringe Report: The Return of Reggie Bullock

Orlando Magic def. Utah Jazz 96-89

Jonathon Simmons (21%) – Drop: Simmons played his normal 21 minutes Saturday but produced very little in that time. Despite the occasional scoring outburst, he has no real value.

Jerian Grant (20%) – Drop: D.J. Augustin has been playing well of late which has basically taken away any value Grant had.

Jarell Martin (4%) – Drop

Dante Exum (18%) – Drop: Over the past four games, Exum’s playing time has fluctuated between t3 and 23 minutes. He has flashed some upside but would need an injury to have a chance at consistent value.

Kyle Korver (16%) – Stream: Korver hit just 1-of-7 three-pointers Saturday but the shots are there and he could be streamed in if you need some perimeter scoring.

Royce O’Neale (9%) – Drop: O’Neale remains a regular part of the rotation but has minimal value going forward, barring any injuries.

Thabo Sefolosha (4%) – Drop

Los Angeles Lakers def. Charlotte Hornets 128-100

Lance Stephenson (20%) – Drop: Stephenson has scored at least 11 points in consecutive games, playing 23 minutes in each game. That scoring has come on unsustainable shooting and Saturday’s game was a blowout, and therefore not a true indication of his production.

Tyson Chandler (15%) – Stream: Chandler had just five rebounds Saturday but was limited due to the game being a blowout. He is still an elite rebound streaming option in many formats.

Moritz Wagner (14%) – Drop: After an impressive summer league, Wagner is yet to break out and can be ignored almost everywhere.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (12%) – Drop

Michael Beasley (10%) – Drop

Ivica Zubac (9%) – Drop

Isaac Bonga (7%) – Drop

Miles Bridges (39%) – Add: Bridges was a bright spot for the Hornets on Saturday as they were thumped by the Lakers. He scored a career-high 17 points as well as a pair of blocks. He is far from a must-roster player but could be added to see if he can do it again.

Marvin Williams (38%) – Add: Despite arguably his worst game of the season Saturday, Williams will almost certainly be better next time around. He remains a strong source of rebounds and three’s and is worth putting on the end of your bench.

Guillermo Hernangomez (30%) – Drop: As soon as Hernangomez can carve out a regular spot in the rotation, he can be revisited as a standard league addition. At this stage, his playing time is far too inconsistent.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (26%) – Drop: Kidd-Gilchrist played just 10 minutes Saturday and continues to be a non-factor in standard formats.

Frank Kaminsky (19%) – Drop: Even in a blowout loss, Kaminsky still played just eight minutes. There is clearly nothing to see here.

Tony Parker (19%) – Drop: The veteran has had some strong games this season but Saturday was not one of them.

Devonte Graham (8%) – Drop

Dwayne Bacon (6%) – Drop

Detroit Pistons def. Boston Celtics 113-104

Reggie Bullock (29%) – Stream: Bullock returned after missing five games with an ankle injury, hitting four triples in 30 minutes. Bullock is locked in as a starter and is normally a nice source of three-pointers.

Stanley Johnson (28%) – Watch: Johnson has struggled since returning from a knee injury and scored just four points Saturday. He is worth keeping an eye on to see if he can get things going but can be left on the waivers right now.

Luke Kennard (26%) – Watch: Kennard certainly has the tools to be a fantasy relevant player but just doesn’t see enough court time. He is another player worth keeping an eye on to see if he can carve out a bigger role in the rotation.

Langston Galloway (13%) – Stream: Galloway scored double-figures for the fourth time in his last five games and is also worth keeping an eye on. He has had runs like this throughout the season and can provide three-pointers on nights he is hot. Reggie Bullock would the preferable option, however, either could fit your needs.

Bruce Brown (9%) – Drop

Jon Leuer (4%) – Drop

Jose Calderon (2%) – Stream: Calderon fouled out in 24 minutes Saturday, but not after putting up another eight assists. Across his last four games, Calderon has a combined 26 assists while playing at least 20 minutes in all four. He is not the most reliable streaming option but could be worth the risk if you need a boost in dimes.

Robert Williams (16%) – Stream: Williams played just 10 minutes Saturday and finished with a single blocked shot. As long as Al Horford remains out, Williams is going to be in the rotation and is worth a look as a high-energy shot-blocker.

Aron Baynes (13%) – Drop: Baynes finished with 10 points in 18 minutes Saturday but offered no defensive contributions. Even with Horford out, he has struggled to have an impact.

Daniel Theis (12%) – Watch: Theis played 18 minutes Saturday but much like Aron Baynes, provided little fantasy value. He is worth keeping an eye on as we wait to see what happens with Al Horford, given his interesting skill set.

Houston Rockets def. Memphis Grizzlies 105-97

Brandon Knight (18%) – Drop

Gerald Green (12%) – Stream: Green has now hit 18 three-pointers across his last eight games despite inconsistent playing time. He does nothing else but given the Rockets playing style, Green could be used if you need some perimeter scoring.

Danuel House (7%) – Drop: After consecutive games of double-digit scoring, House failed to score Saturday. He remains a regular part of the rotation but simply does too little to have any value.

Nene Hilario (5%) – Drop

Garrett Temple (30%) – Drop: As is routine for Temple, he backed up his solid game from Friday with just eight points Saturday. Playing time typically doesn’t result in production for Temple and he can be left on the waivers.

Shelvin Mack (21%) – Drop: Mack replaced the injured Kyle Anderson in the starting lineup Saturday but scored just four points in 28 minutes. After a nice run earlier in the season, Mack can now be avoided in most formats.

MarShon Brooks (11%) – Drop: Brooks is another player whose value comes entirely from his ability to score. On nights such as this, which have been all too frequent, it is easy to see why he can be left alone.

Wayne Selden Jr. (10%) – Drop

Joakim Noah (8%) – Drop

Jevon Carter (7%) – Drop: Carter scored 11 points in his first game of the season, also collecting a pair of steals. His role remains unclear and he can be left on waivers at the moment.

Omri Casspi (6%) – Drop

Chicago Bulls def. San Antonio Spurs 98-93

Ryan Arcidiacono (20%) – Drop: With Zach LaVine out due to injury, Arcidiacono dropped 12 points to go with seven assists. This performance needs to be put into context and is likely more of an outlier.

Chandler Hutchison (15%) – Drop

Shaquille Harrison (14%) – Drop: Despite still putting up some handy steal numbers, Harrison’s playing time appears to be trending down.

Cameron Payne (13%) – Drop

Robin Lopez (12%) – Drop: Lopez has been seeing court time over the past couple of weeks but it is likely linked to the play of Wendell Carter. Even in his time on the floor, Lopez offers some scoring and that’s about it.

Jakob Poeltl (42%) – Watch: Poeltl played just 16 minutes Saturday and had little impact on either end of the floor. He is still worth keeping an eye on in case he can get things going.

Bryn Forbes (35%) – Stream: Despite a zero-point effort Saturday, Forbes is still worth streaming in if you need some three-pointers. Marco Belinelli had the hot hand in this one which limited the playing time for Forbes.

Derrick White (29%) – Watch: White started Saturday but failed to score in just 18 minutes. He has been wildly inconsistent thus far but still has some upside.

Patty Mills (29%) – Stream: Much like Bryn Forbes, Mills is still a worthwhile streamer despite a poor effort Saturday. His ability to pass the ball adds some incentive to streaming him in but it does come with obvious risk.

Marco Belinelli (21%) – Stream: Belinelli scored in double-figures for the fifth straight game, hitting five triples on his way to 17 points. Of all the Spurs guards, Belinelli is the hottest right now and is almost worthy of being picked up in standard formats, at least while he is hot.

Davis Bertans (13%) – Drop

Dante Cunningham (10%) – Drop

Oklahoma City Thunder def. Los Angeles Clippers 110-104

Nerlens Noel (37%) – Stream: In just 16 minutes Saturday, Noel put up another two steals and two blocks. If Steven Adams should ever miss time, Noel would become a must-roster player. Until then he is fine to stream in if you need some cheap defensive stats.

Hamidou Diallo (13%) – Drop

Patrick Patterson (9%) – Drop

Terrence Ferguson (9%) – Drop

Alex Abrines (7%) – Drop: The bulk of the value lies with the starters for the Thunder, leaving players like Abrines on the outside looking in.

Patrick Beverley (45%) – Drop: Beverley played 30 minutes Saturday, scoring nine points to go with three steals. He is basically a defensive stopper for the Clippers and provides far more value in reality as opposed to fantasy.

Avery Bradley (37%) – Watch: Bradley managed double-digit scoring for the second straight game, albeit in another loss. The playing time is there for Bradley and there is a chance he can get things turned around in the future. Keep an eye on him to see what happens.

Marcin Gortat (32%) – Drop: Gortat started for the Clippers on Saturday but contributed very little to across the box score. Given the uncertainty around his role from game to game, he can be left on the waivers.

Milos Teodosic (8%) – Drop

Mike Scott (7%) – Drop

Sindarius Thornwell (4%) – Drop

Phoenix Suns def. Minnesota Timberwolves 107-99

De’Anthony Melton (49%) – Add: Despite the return of Davin Booker, Melton remained in the starting lineup Saturday. His playing time was down slightly when compared to the last few games but he was still productive. There is a chance he remains in the starting lineup moving forward and he is worth a speculative add to see how things turn out.

Mikal Bridges (43%) – Add: Bridges played a whopping 40 minutes Saturday, contributing across the board in the victory. Kelly Oubre is about to join the lineup and it remains to be seen what exactly Bridges role is moving forward. Given the upside, however, he is worth adding in case he can hold onto his starting spot.

Richaun Holmes (37%) – Stream: Despite a poor effort Saturday, Holmes has been playing very well of late and is still worth streaming in many formats. He typically provides defensive numbers to go with rebounding and high-efficiency.

Jamal Crawford (10%) – Drop: Crawford has seen plenty of playing time over the past couple of weeks which has resulted in limited value. Austin Rivers and Kelly Oubre are about to enter the rotation, leaving Crawford’s role somewhat unclear.

Jawun Evans (4%) – Drop

Josh Okogie (20%) – Drop: Okogie has some upside but barring an injury to a starter, he simply doesn’t play enough to have value.

Tyus Jones (17%) – Drop: Much like Okogie, Jones would need an injury to Jeff Teague for him to move into the standard league discussion.

Gorgui Dieng (14%) – Drop: Even on a night Taj Gibson was out of the lineup, Dieng still played just 10 minutes. Leave him on the waivers everywhere.

Anthony Tolliver (8%) – Drop
