Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview: February 12-18

Welcome to the Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview for February 12 through February 18, the final week before the All-Star break. As discussed last week, many leagues will begin their playoffs as early as this week, breaking matchups up over the next two weeks to account for NBA taking a week off. In that case, the general managers’ main priority will be to add as many quality games as possible this week and then give themselves time to analyze options for the following week during the All-Star break. Three teams give you streaming options this week; check them out below.

Fantasy Basketball Streamers

This week’s schedule is light, leading into the all-star break. The low nights are Tuesday (6 games and Thursday (3 games). This week, the best teams to target for streaming are the Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Portland Trailblazers. Each team allows you to pick up games on Tuesday and Thursday.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS (MON/TUES/THURS)

  • Malik Beasley (SG): Beasley has maintained a sizable role for the Bucks as a floor spacer. To that end, he adds points and threes at a respectable percentage.
  • Jae Crowder (SF/PF): Crowder is soaking up the minutes at the forward positions with Middleton sidelined. Crowder can fill the stat sheet but needs to do more consistently. Look for Crowder as a deep league option that can provide threes, rebounds, and steals.

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES (MON/TUES/THURS)

  • Nickeil Alexander-Walker (SG): McDaniels could miss time with a finger sprain, opening up playing time for Alexander-Walker. Alexander-Walker has an upside in points and threes and can add a few rebounds and assists.
  • Kyle Anderson (SF/PF): Anderson has proven to be helpful in a 20-plus minute role in the past. With McDaniels potentially missing time, Anderson could see 25 minutes per game, resulting in a fantasy line across categories except points.

PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (TUES/THURS)

  • Matisse Thybulle (SG/SF): Thybulle is a sneaky pick-up for this week as a defensive game-changer. Deploying Thybulle can create an excellent foundation for steals and blocks to begin your week.
  • Jabari Walker (PF): Walker produced with Ayton sitting, but production dropped off when he returned. Walker is a deep-league player but can provide rebounds. If Ayton were to sit, Walker would be appealing.
