Welcome to the Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview for January 8 through 14. The NBA season is flying by and creeping up towards the mid-point. At this point in the season, general managers must honestly assess their team and act before it’s too late. Give up on an underachieving player, drop a player who is constantly hurt, or swing for the fences in a trade. For Dynasty formats, now is the time to turn crafty vets into young talent if you find yourself out of contention or unload young talent to push your squad into championship contention. Trade deadlines are usually in February, but being early can pay dividends in setting the market price for player value. Separately, the below will get you covered next week, including player streaming.

Fantasy Basketball Streamers
The schedule this week is weak on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The Portland Trailblazers are the only team that plays on all three. However, two teams can help you stream for Tuesday and Thursday: The Lakers and the Knicks. Check out the players below to bolster your games played and categories.
PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (TUE/THURS/FRI/SUN)
- Matisse Thybulle (SG/SF): Thybulle remains a defensive specialist—stream for elite steals, blocks, and threes.
- Duop Reath (C): The starter while Ayton is out. Reath can score points and rebounds, but monitor Ayton’s status as he is a non-factor if he plays.
LOS ANGELES LAKERS (TUE/THURS/SAT)
- Tauren Prince (SF): Prince is in a big-minute role for the Lakers and produces across the board. If you need modest points, threes, and upside in steals, Prince makes for a good play this week.
- Christian Wood (PF/C): Wood’s minutes are up, and so is his production. Wood can produce points and rebounds and add blocks and threes as well. Wood makes for a decent stream this week, especially for deeper leagues. Just be mindful of inconsistencies.
NEW YORK KNICKS. (TUE/THURS/SAT)
- Donte DiVincenzo (SG): Despite the wobbly minutes, DiVincenzo has been an effective guard for the Knicks. He scores, excels in threes, adds assists, and steals. Donte works as a stream for Tuesday and Thursday.
- Quentin Grimes (SG): Similar to DiVicenzo, in a minor role (for now), Grimes is a natural scorer and excels in threes but can add rebounds, assists, and a few steals.
