The dynasty power forward rankings are extremely loaded with some of the brightest young stars in the game, including arguably the best overall dynasty player in the game, Victor Wembanyama. The power forward class also includes some of the most elite veteran fantasy performers in the league, including players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Domantas Sabonis, and Anthony Davis. There are also some diamonds in the rough just waiting for their big break to become future fantasy stars.
Dynasty Power Forward Risers
Jonathan Kuminga has been on a tear lately and is finally tapping into his enormous potential. He is on a meteoric rise through the dynasty power forward ranks in his third season. Two months ago he may not have even cracked this top 50 list and now it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising to see him climb into the top 15 by the end of the season.
Jalen Williams is slowly creeping up amongst the top 10 dynasty power forwards. The 22-year-old phenom has emerged as one of the premier fantasy talents in the NBA. If he can continue to elevate his fantasy game, he will not just be talked about as one of the best dynasty power forwards, but as one of the best overall dynasty players in the league.
Dynasty Power Forward Fallers
Jimmy Butler’s points, rebounds, assists and steals are all at their lowest marks in several years. He is still a premier fantasy talent, but at age 34, it’s difficult to envision the six-time all-star regaining his peak fantasy performances from the prime of his career. Unless his numbers rebound in the second half of the season, he will continue to slide down the dynasty power forward ranks.
Kristaps Porzingas has seen his fantasy numbers decline this season and it could be in part to playing on a loaded Boston Celtics roster. He’s never been the third option on a team before, so his fantasy stats may be suffering as a result. His scoring output is the lowest it has been since the 2016-2017 season and his rebounding is at its lowest point since 2017-2018.
Potential Dynasty Basketball Breakouts
Tari Eason oozes fantasy talent, he just hasn’t had his big break yet. He has been a contributor off the bench in his first two seasons with the Rockets but is still waiting for a larger role to present itself. If that happens, he has the ability to be a double-double machine with elite defensive stats. Eason would likely find himself flirting with being a top-15 dynasty power forward if he lands a spot in the starting rotation.
Trayce Jackson-Davis did not crack the top 50, but he lands on the honorable mention list. He has seen his playing time dwindle recently due to the Warriors being back at full strength with the return of Draymond Green. However, during Green’s suspension, he flashed some tantalizing fantasy potential. When another opportunity arises for the rookie, he could surge up these dynasty ranks.
