As Fantasy Football ends, Fantasy Basketball now steps into the main frame. Wavier Wire adds will be more critical than ever, with fantasy basketball more in the spotlight. Last week, Grayson Allen was the key add on the Waiver Wire and has been consistent all season with having 23 or more fantasy points in his last five, including a 43 fantasy point outing. This week features three guards and no big men. Let’s WIN!
NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds
Brandin Podziemski, G – Golden State Warriors (74% rostered)
Brandin Podziemski has seen his roster percentage go up 5.8% and is currently rostered in 74% of Fantrax leagues. Podziemski has seen 27 or more minutes in his last five games. He has put up 30 or more fantasy points in three of his last five games as well, with two of those games being 40-plus fantasy point efforts. Podziemski fills the stat sheet. As a guard, he is averaging 7.6 rebounds per game with 5.6 assists per game and double-digit scoring in eight of his last ten games. Add him as the Warriors are running a lot of their young assets to see what the future will look like.
Talen Horton-Tucker G, F – Utah Jazz (68% rostered)
Talen Horton-Tucker played in just six minutes in his last game. Before that, he was on absolute fire in his past five games. Tucker has averaged 33.55 fantasy ppg not including the December 28th game he played just six minutes in. Also, he has seen an uptick in his minutes seeing 24 or more minutes with three games reaching 30 minutes of playtime. That is good compared to his previous five where he had three games with 20 minutes or less of playtime. Tucker is a great stash with injuries to the Jazz’s backcourt AND being their best option off the bench when he moves back there. With that being said, Talen Horton-Tucker shows flashes when he gets the green light to produce and produce at good levels. Place a claim for him in all your leagues if your team is lacking guard depth.
Donte DiVincenzo G – New York Knicks (66% rostered)
The New York Knicks made a big trade by sending Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett to the Toronto Raptors for OG Anunoby. DiVincenzo finds himself in the starting lineup and producing at great levels. He has seen 25 or more minutes in the past two games. This is in comparison to the previous 20 games where he saw those minutes just three times. DiVincenzo is rostered in 66% of Fantrax leagues and that number has increased by 13.3%. Furthermore, DiVincenzo had the best game of his career on December 30th with 57.5 fantasy points and 38 points. Overall, DiVincenzo has earned his spot as a starter for the Knicks. He is thriving next to his college teammate, Jalen Brunson. Obviously, there is always room for improvement, but the signing of DiVincenzo has worked out very well for the Knicks. Soon, Donte DiVincenzo will not be available in your leagues. When it comes to Waiver Wire adds, Donte DiVincenzo is my favorite player out of the three. All in all, stay ahead of league members and add these guards as soon as possible.
