With Waiver Wire adds, finding the guys on a “hot streak” or filling in for an injured player is what we look for. Fantasy basketball is way too long of a season and winning is not always going to be pretty and wins will not always come because of your star players. The key to winning a championship is playing the Waiver Wire.
NBA Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Adds
Santi Aldama, F/C – Memphis Grizzlies (74% rostered)
Santi Aldama has carved himself out a nice role with the Memphis Grizzlies. He has scored over 20 or more fantasy points in eight of his last ten games. Aldama also has games of 35, 66, and 32.5 fantasy points in that span. In his last five games, Aldama has averaged 27 fantasy ppg and is one of the better bench players for the Grizzlies. Look to add him as he is rostered in just 74% of Fantrax leagues.
Tim Hardaway Jr., G/F – Dallas Mavericks (73%)
Sadly, Kyrie Irving is set to miss time with a foot injury. With that being said, it is the next man up. Tim Hardaway Jr will see an uptick in production. Hardaway Jr has had back-to-back games of over 20 fantasy points. November 18 was the last time Hardaway Jr had over 20 fantasy points. Now, with the unfortunate Irving injury, Hardaway Jr will be running alongside Luka Doncic for the next few weeks. Currently, Hardaway Jr. is rostered in 73% of Fantrax leagues. This will be higher by the middle of the week once claims start going through.
Caleb Martin, G/F – Miami Heat (55% rostered)
Firstly, Caleb Martin is the spark of the Miami Heat’s bench. Martin has taken 15 or more shots in three consecutive games. With that being said, Martin is a key add in the Waiver Wire with no Tyler Herro. Furthermore, Martin has scored over 30 fantasy points in two straight games, including a 45.5-point fantasy performance four days ago. At just 55% rostered in Fantrax leagues, Martin should be rostered in over 80% of leagues. In conclusion, no Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler tends to turn it off and on in games, leaving Caleb Martin to thrive in the scoring department for your Fantasy basketball teams.
